This nonsense is copied from Wikipedia. There’s no way a backward state like imo state should have bigger GDP than Delta and Anambra . That alone has invalidated the list |

softtorce:Let's not make this about love and hate. I actually enjoy the rivalry between the Igbos and Yoruba. It's mostly healthy. Now to some analysis. From the figures above. With the exception of Lagos, the economy of the other 5 SW states is about 18.48 trillion compared to 20.04 trillion for the 5 SE states. 3 Likes |

yoruboid:Let's talk about the economy of the so called gala states compared to the SW Omoluabi's From you figures above The other 5 SW states with the exception of Lagos have a combined GDP of 18.48 trillion and a population of over 26 million people. On there other hand, the 5 SE states with a smaller population of 23 million people has a combined GDP of 22 trillion. Clearly the people of Ogun. Oyo, Ondo, Osun and Ekiti cannot be Omoluabi's. |

All.this GDP had not helped Nigeria especially escape being world poverty capital, so what's the point? |
Re: FULL LIST: Nigerian States By GDP by tctrills: 12:50pm On May 03 |
PHIPEX:I think the Lagos argument is very unnecessary. We only look to Lagos while the rest of the SW is trailing behind. The Government of Nigeria has made Lagos the only state suitable for large investment and ignored the other 35 states. This is a problem and not a reason to celebrate. 1 Like |

Re: FULL LIST: Nigerian States By GDP by forgiveness: 12:54pm On May 03 |

PHIPEX: Olodo. Carter bridge - 1901 Apapa wharf - 1913 Lagos - Ibadan railway- 1901 Telephone cable from Lagos to London - 1886 Lagos - Kano railway - 1911 Who built it? Omoluabis. How? No other ethnic group existed in Lagos as at the time all these were built save Hausa and Tapa. 4 Likes 1 Share

forgiveness:Oh they did. But under the leadership of the British, the military and even the civilian leadership. Your government has invested much more on Lagos infrastructure than any where else. From sea ports to the airport. To building of estates, road network etc. |

Exactly as Lagos is not part of the SW When you are done fooling around you will find a way to create your own Lagos so you can complete instead of lamenting or wishing the best part of the SW should be left out of it glory so you igbos can beat your chest over failure. tctrills: 2 Likes 1 Share |

What are the industries in Akwa Ibom to warrant such GDP. Aside Mobil, what else? Akwa Ibom GDP is so close to that of Rivers state and in Rivers, we have a plethora of Oil&Gas companies. I beleieve they are deliberately reducing the GDP of Rivers state. |

Goodday90: Bros, read between the lines. That fella that quoted you is probably one of Tinubus’ associates…in the inner Yoruba/Lagos-set circle, and he knows what they’ve got planned to grab a disproportionate share of opportunities and Nigerias’ commonwealth to the south-west and their businesses! This is why, concerning Ogun, he tells you to give them time! This is why they struggle, rig, plot and threaten their way to controlling the centre….just so they can control the Nigerian political-economy and the benefits derived, as well as use said control to cheat others and hold them down! Buhari did his own for his Fulani/north-west….even going as far as extending benefits to his cousins in faraway Niger! Now it’s the turn of the Yoruba! The slight difference being that Tinubu is also feathering his nest and those of his business associates while at it! The Lagos-Calabar highway being a case in point! |

forgiveness:So those were not done by "Nigeria" but done by "Lagos" as you claimed? Go and buy JAMB form. Who told you "Nigeria" started in 1960? Your free education teacher did not teach you the colonial masters were the "Nigeria" of the years you quoted? You can as well say First Bank of Nigeria was started by "Lagos" since it was started in 1894 in Lagos, Olodo |

PHIPEX: Nigeria started in 1914 olodo. There was nothing like Nigeria as at 1901 till 1913 when all these were done. Nothing like Nigeria and stop disgracing yourself. How can you say Nigeria is colonial master when as at 1891, Sokoto, Benin Kingdom, Aro Kingdom (including all Igboland), different kingdoms etc were independent states on their own and had their government system intact? You bi real olodo. You don't know anything. 1 Like |
