500 Naira was released in April, 2001 while the 1000 Naira note was released in October 2005.

The CBN should as a matter of urgency introduced the 2000 and 5000 naira notes. Or better still remove double zero from the value of the naira.

I cannot believe things have degenerated to this level. If you go to market to buy ordinary foodstuff, you understand that many people cannot even boast of 2 meals per day. Either way, I still believe we don't need such new naira notes.

They should keep fighting for a better economy/stronger naira and we shouldn't give them a reason to loot with reckless abandon. These characters in government can spend 5 billion to print 3 billion.

Back then in 2015/2016, I used to buy Bread N50 (It's now sold for 250)
2 cups of beans N100, And eat to satisfaction.

Currently, N200 CAN'T buy you anything eatable.

The highest is Cabin biscuits.

Is so simple unveil another name that will be upper than naira, and introduce 2000# note and 5000note, I suggest this name 1 Naija, the name Naija will start from 1000# note, as u can see kobo is not in existence again, let dead naira serve as kobo, and Naija serve as naira,

Now that Naira is 4 digit currency, higher denomination notes should be introduced.

One reason why they may shy from this may be they plan to redenominate the Naira i.e. remove 3 zeros

So, N1,000 becomes N1.

So, if the exchange rate is $1-1,350, it will now be $1-1.35

Another reason why they may not bring out higher value notes may be because of crime. Those criminal bandits and kidnappers will leap for joy. It is easier to carry their loot. Until they can checkmate these criminals, it is best things remain the same, no matter how inconvenient. Some may see my view as over-the-top, but it is the biggest fear amongst Nigerians.

Coins should be introduced rather and 500 should be our highest denomination, 100 naira downward should be in coins that may strengthen the naira
But it seems it's more expensive to mint and maintain coin than note
