I remember arguing with someone here back then during the presidential campaign about how Victor Fort would be the ideal president for us. But many were stuck with "he's done it before". Fort would have been ruthless with decision making and stuck with what he feels is the betterment of the club along with future sustainability. Man openly said to the whole world he'd let go of Messi to ease the financial burden of Barca and make the team financially stable. That statement verily became the end of him. Funny enough the Laporta that was vehemently saying he'd keep Messi let him go in the dying minutes.

I heard a few of Laporta's current board ideas was actually one of Fort's ideas.

In terms of finances, Barca ain't really broke as the press make it seem. I've been saying this for over a year now. Our issue is FFP limiting our spending especially our payroll. Barca is amongst the top 3 highest generating revenue in Europe....it's just that our wage bill is humongous and also gulps over half of it. Then there's the short term debts to repay.

Anyways from next year we should be in an overall better place financially when the New Camp Nou come on stream.

Pedri is one of our best players and better than Roberto but right now, he should focus more on fitness. I actually like how Xavi is managing his minutes right now.
