The Custom dept is a Fraud- by unilaterally frustrating Nigeria Production Capacity Businesses, because each time Dollars goes up,they quickly and easily do adjust their Charges/Rates,same for all goods coming to the Country!
•The govt is not serious too- by not Monitoring the Operations of these Agencies,Customs,NNPC,other MDAS,etc, -because the Customs Dept is behaving as if they Own Nigeria,by the nature of what they are Collecting - Revenue!
Why should you be raising your Charges Against everyone, because they are Importing - Fed Govt is not monitoring these Dept,at all!
In fact, they( Custom) is part of those killing our businesses because how many of those Industries goes to the Banks to process their Documents and many eventually abandoned the business when the Price- Charges attached is too high!
Worse is when you are trading across the borders,as Corruption here is just terrible and bad !
As at today, many businesses have been frustrated and dying, because of high Import Duties to be paid!
•The National Assembly ( Senators and House of Reps) are all moot on this serious matters - why should Custom Officials behaving like this- frustrating businesses they don't Create?e.g. those Importing Cars are abandoning this business because of unrealistic Duty to be paid as to meet their -Revenue Target!

In a country where production is encourage? I can't count how many businesses in my area has been shut down due to the rip off from PHCN that has been charging the people exorbitant for light we don't see, causing the people to go look for cleaner jobs with meagre salaries that can't take them home. Are we still saying the devil is not one of us? And the are busy building prisons to jail the children of commoners who leverage the evil the government has done to survive by hook or by crook. May God reward them and their families according for turning commoners in monsters and beasts. My their evil not forget to consume them.
Re: Customs Increases FX Rate For Import Duties To ₦‎1,441/$ by Mtmike(m): 5:01pm On May 04, 2024
And some people keep saying things are not getting cheaper, how will they be cheaperhuh? We import almost everything we consume and custom keep increasing rate. Things will never be cheaper.

Custom duty increase rate means imported goods price will go up

Bank also increase interest rate mean than locally produced goods with bank loan will go up. Especially when u have monopoly, the consumer go see pepper

This government enh, I don’t know who is advising them
