Ben Murray-BruceTalks About the Lagos-Calabar Highway. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nIA01B-8vqU?si=PunEAxf0y1Q6nR10 A new era in Nigeria’s transportation history has begun. A 700 kilometre Lagos-Calabar coastal highway, with feeder roads joining it from different parts of the country is being built by the present administration and this is proof of the transformative power of visionary leadership by President Bola Tinubu, who has put the present minister ot works, David Umahi, a man of unwavering dedication at the helm of affairs. 91 Likes 25 Shares

Misplaced priority. Thïefnubu is a fallen demon on a 3-fold mission to Steal, to Kill and to Destroy. At the rate the Microphone-licking druggie is going, ₦100 will soon become worthless. 47 Likes 2 Shares |

naptu2: The common sense crooner is now senseless. We are saying that the existing roads leading from Cross River State to Lagos State and the numerous bad roads across the country should be fixed. The coastal highway shouldn't be a problem for now. People are dying on these bad roads yet the govt priority is a coastal highway that we all know wouldn't be completed in 20yrs to come. How is that a bad idea if I may ask Ben? In a bid to support criminality they start sounding like uneducated people. If this coastal highway is not all about criminality, they should equally award instant repairs for all the bad roads in the country and release a whooping 1 trillion naira to start up immediate work on them. 41 Likes 3 Shares |

Recently, a media house popular among the GenZs has been doing what was done hush hush in media circles in the past, i.e., when journalists are PR consultants to some wealthy but shady businessmen, companies, and politicians. Some of them are used to plant stories in the media or used to kill stories that may potentially embarass their paymasters. Some of the journalists who write lengthy columns in their newspapers sometime sell those columns to the highest bidder, where they write to promote the paymaster or demonize the paymaster's enemies sometimes. If you see someone writing castigating someone, be rest assured that the writer may have been paid heavily for that hatchet job. Senior journalists know what I am talking about and won't deny this. Some senior journalists opened companies to get PR contracts from shady businessmen. It is a multi-million naira business. If you open any newspaper and you see a company getting some favourable press, the company paid for it. Trust me, if not for the advent of online journalism with Fisayo Soyombo's Foundation for Investigative Journalism and Sahara Reporters, Yahaya Bello's case would not have made it to the press. Nor IBD Dende. Another trick is that when you see a media house consistently attack someone, they want the person to come and settle. Above is the business model of one of the controversial TV stations in Nigeria. But they now carry out their media assassination in full glare of all of us. They repeat a lie consistently until it becomes gospel truth to buffoons. What sort of journalism is that? If they didn't receive PR consulting contracts, why was one television station consistent in attacking the candidate of the APC while giving positive press to the candidates of PDP and LP? It was so bad that the media proprietor of the said media house launched a direct attack on the candidate of the APC. That had never happened in the history of Nigerian politics. Now, why is the same media house discrediting the coastal road project? Did Landmark retain them for PR? Remember that this same media house never interviewed anyone or gave rigorous coverage to the Emefiele trial as they did the cases they had an interest towards protecting. What I explained above was drawn from a petition written by a dismissed editor of PUNCH newspapers against a former director of the newspaper some ten years ago, and from my own observation of the media business. It was common in the print media; it is now being brought to the fore in the broadcast media by the same controversial television station. It is shameful. Ladies and gentlemen, while it is sensible to seek information and entertainment from the media, never forget that it is a business and the highest bidder receives the best press coverage. They are not after your interest. 86 Likes 7 Shares |

Most ethnic bigots like Perra Obi only oppose the Coastal road because it doesn't directly link the SE. My question is why didn't these bigots oppose the 2nd Niger bridge and instead ask for a perpetual repair and refurbishment of the old bridge. They all supported the new bridge and are enjoying it. But have the guts to say the new Coastal road should be suspended because there's an old road that can be repaired. Thats Hypocrisy at its highest point! 49 Likes 3 Shares |

I haven't seen any well meaning SouthSouth person that will be against the project. It's a chance to open up their region to massive development. But disgruntled element would rather have a beer factory in each state instead. 34 Likes 3 Shares
