Are you in support of their threats?
No but i will advocate that government listen to their complaints, we cannot be complaining of high cost food stuffs and allow miscreants to destroy the ones available in the market.

Can someone actually explain what happened in Ile-epo in the first place? There's no news on it, government is silent as if nothing happened... As at yesterday, touts were collecting entrance fee from people that want to enter the complex... Everything just dey confusing
Re: Lagos Market Clash: Unions Threaten To Cut Tomato Supply To South by Jokerman(m): 8:45pm On May 05
Thankfully the Lagos state government has begun the process to start evicting and relocating these touts and agberos back to their states of origin in Osun, Ekiti, Kwara etc...

Starting with Adeniji Eko under bridge tomorrow.

So business owners and workers in Lagos, Agberos will soon be a thing of the past

This actually happened very close to my house... This mofos killed 5 Yoruba's that wasn't even their victims. Burned several goods and here they are, claiming to cut supply of tomatoes. To hell with your tomatoes. Lagosians will surely find another suppliers. No one is has monopoly for violence.

Re: Lagos Market Clash: Unions Threaten To Cut Tomato Supply To South by MomohMrMoore: 8:52pm On May 05
Lol.. these are street fights. Govt should look into it. But to threaten supply is a funny thing. Is it not your money u are collecting? Are u going to eat the tomato if u dont sell? Dont u need the money? Buyers are doing sellers a favour. Leave it to perish at the farm then.

Southerners should started cultivating all these farm produce. The earlier the better. Everytime threat of cutting supply as if it's only your soil that produces farm products.

However, it's wrong to destroy people's business.

And the SW APC guy that posted it wrote, cut supply to south. Tactical "one south". SMH

Why be say, when SW wan betray, den go shout ronu. But when e be like say Dem go collect, they go remember one south.

How many times do you think you can fool and kick the same people again and again? You fool them to come together for a common cause. And when that is achieved, you kick them and shout sophisticated.

Yes I know Lagos contains all tribes from Nigeria, but the narrative has already started changing to make it look like it's against the whole south. And that's what I'm challenging.

Southern governors are useless, after the civil war, these miscreants should have invested billions into staple food like tomato and onion and other stuff, but they rather depends on our Islamic enemies for food.

What's wrong with abokis self, small thing they will be threatening to cut supplies to the souths, as if we had once threatened them to cut our IGR relocation to the federal that will affect their allocation.

yeah, they need to consider too that a certain region is responsible for more than 80% of the revenue that the entire country relies on.
We are all useful to ourselves. I don't in any way support destruction of the crates though.

Lol let them go and sell it to Niger.

As long as Nigeria is existing Southwest has the purchasing power, hence other region will bring their business to sell

SW and Lagos should immediately start planning a permanent solution.

Either we start growing these things enmasse or we import from Neighbouring countries like Benin Rep and Cameroon. The perishable foodstuffs from the North should be boycotted

Why would you knowingly set fire to crates used for transporting tomatoes which belong to other people? angry

Anytime there is a communal clash the people who like going on destruction spree are usually poor and frustrated members of the community because they want everyone else to become poor and miserable like themselves!

You are shortsighted and myopic

The cause and the aim runs deeper than your periphery observation
