The Lagos-Calabar coastal highway corridor serves as a crucial landing point for multiple submarine cables connecting Nigeria to EuropeGuess an EIAS was done? Guess the affectation of a critical sector like the telecommunication sector was factor into it? Imagine a breakdown in national and international communication. Why do they have to construct a coastal highway that is going to affect such facility. Why commencing an expensive project without a feasible environmental impact assessment and in the presence of many myriads of national problems. |

In light of the developments, telcos stressed the necessity of stakeholder consultations with the Ministry of Works to address potential risks and implement robust mitigation measures. While dialogue with the Federal Government is yet to happen, telcos have warned Hitech Construction to exercise caution to prevent damage to critical national infrastructure.Every construction project has risk, and I am happy they themselves mentioned mitigation. |

opamoses1:Yeah! It may be unstoppable but past Precedence have proven who has been right or wrong. Besides, the economic burden cum corruption this so called project will leave in its trail is gonna tell on this nation. Get some sense |

Racoon:What past precedence. Like the 2nd Niger bridge or the rail Buhari built all the way to Niger republic? I can almost guess your tribe correctly because that's the only reason for this bitterness, envy, and jealousy. |

COMRADES, hahaha Nigerians will suffer untold hardship as a result of the construction of this coastal road The shocking thing about this project is that, the road is a white elephant project. The project may not be completed in the next one million years |

opamoses1:Of course, as long as Tinubu is involved, this highway of fraud from Bourdillon to Lebanon is unstoppable |

Obi might be right about the Lagos-Calabar coastal highway after all. This is clearly a misplaced priority. ![]() |

The underwater cables are safe, the road is not going under the atlantic. Any telecom mast standing along the right of way would have to be relocated just as Multichoice's infrastructure was relocated. These are teething challenges which cause for no alarm. Lagos-Calabar, Sokoto-Badagry, Enugu-Ogoja-Cameroon road projects have come to stay, not even Bitter Obi and his headless mob can stop them. |

This road will happen. You lots can jump and fall on the ground all you want, it will happen! If these miscreants are against you in any endeavor, my brothers and sisters in Christ, add more woods to fire, bend down with grace and blow shit ton of air to the fire. That means you are on track. They are serial losers, since civil war. Whoever or whatever they support (Bitter Obi for example), will surely fail. Whatever or whoever they oppose (Buhari, 2nd Niger bridge, Tinubu), will surely Succed. Failure and losing has been embeeded in their DNA. Na ancestral heritage. 😂 If Dem support you pere, bro abort!

This is not a big deal. It happens time and time during road constructions and adjustment will be done on the part of Telcos. All this noise about this project is nauseating. Not like the noise will make FG stop or so why are these guys just wasting their time wailing? That project will proceed. A million wailing can’t and won’t stop it. |

This is to tell you how poorly planned without bidding, EIA or integrity this project is. Tinubu is just cashing out A road that has started with destruction before even 10% is covered is not worth it We have current road networks that can be developed |

A simple indication of where the cables here should avert any shutdown. These just looking for unnecessary attention and blowing up a mole into a mountain. Even if there will be disruption in some service, the telcos should plan ahead and make alternative arrangements. You don't stop projects because of potential issues, that's part of project planning. You identify potential hiccups and plan accordingly. That's why you have project Managers, that's a big part of Project Management. |
