Before the election, they were all chorusing “Tinubu raised the monthly IGR of Lagos state as governor from 600million naira to 6billion naira”. I asked them what value did he create in the state to have achieved that.

Obviously, the IGR of a state could only be raised either by;
1. Creating more values that will generate more revenues or
2. The government increases the tax rates and introduce more taxations and levies when no or little value is created .

The later was done by the administration of Tinubu when he was the governor of Lagos state. And his advocates expect things to change with him when he becomes the president?
