If they delist naira from crypto exchanges and stop them from trading P2P, then we would move to off ramp services.

There, we would convert our USDT to our local currency. So many off ramp providers out there.

Apart from off ramp, we would use Telegram bot, and normal P2P without exchange intermediary. 100 of options would be provided.

I would even suggest to a decentralized exchange like PancakeSwap or Uniswap to offer P2P services. I wonder who FG would contact when decentralized exchange adopts that.

For more context about decentralized exchange:
There's no KYC so all transactions are done via smart contract. So you won't need to know anybody at all, just signing of the transactions and the contract executes it. Even SEC finds it difficult clamping down on DEX since the team is completely anonymous.

Modified: For those of you quoting to tell me FG will completely ban crypto, it's like Satoshi Nakamoto is a joke to you all 😂

You Dey try educate that olodo. Wasting your time. They don’t even believe people work remotely. The only work they knows is carry cutlass or shovel to go and work in the site. They’re not smart to look for legit remote work online. I pity them and if you think FG have the power to ban crypto in Nigeria, it’s a Joke. Buhari tried it even ban X former twitter and yet Nigerians is still using it. What they failed to understand is that the world have grown before technologies, AI here and there and many options. If you ban P2P today, trust your citizen, they will device 10000 means to continue trading. You people are old and don’t know what’s happening in the technology market. Your brains are backward.
Na una get time to explain to some useless idiots that always feels that hardworking youth is one that works in construction site not knowing that things has really changed

If the USD does not enter the country via export, tourist, remote jobs etc. Why is the economy not going to shrink? They made things very tough for people who work in that industry. When Jonathan and Buhari was the president is crypto and digital assets like (Bitcoin, Ethereum, Skrill, Liberty Reserve) not active, why is Naira not depreciating during those periods? Guys APC is just a group of companies, they are confused and they don't even know the actual solution to solve Nigeria economy. USD must be earned organically by fixing those industry I posted above not by pumping borrowed USD loans into the economy and once the money finished Naira will keep rising. We need forward-thinking's economists like Okonjo Iweala, not all these paddy paddy CBN governor and ministers that don't know what they are doing.
Re: Naira To Be Delisted From Crypto P2P Platforms by JapaPrince: 2:06pm On May 07, 2024
If Nigeirans were being patriotic, APC will never smell power after the destruction Buhari brought on our economy.
This Govt. Is the punishment we get for being politically docile and our anywhere belle face culture. This is just year one step 2, by the end of first tenure there will be enough taxes and financial restrictions for everyone.

The naira has since be delisted from all exchanges. Mumu people, you guys should be ashamed that a few kids with phone can manipulate a whole "largest economy" currency. Shame on APC in advance as even if the entire crypto is absolutely abolished, the naira will still be weak as long as the stealing continues and Nigeria is busy importing toothpicks, sweets, biscuits, Azul and all manner of bullshit, while exporting nothing and looting the tiny dollars that comes from crude and unpon that, still borrowing only to loot borrowed money. Omo Nigeria problem long.... grin grin grin grin grin

Authorities should also stop direct deposit in lto Dom accounts, only cash deposited into Dom account should be only we can withdraw over the counter, foreign remittances should should be deposited into a bucket account before beneficiaries can get value at government advised rate and after all these like Buhari's approach PDP should be blamed for the economic malaise.

In Nigeria as a youth, if u are not carrying block, mixing cement, hawking gala or working in site etc. They term u a lazy youth.
They hate anything that has to do with people sitting comfortably in their houses and making money. As long as they are going out there to work, then they expect everyone to do same and they get very bitter if they see a young man who's always indoors, doesn't do yahoo but still cashing out big time.

All those lazy youth that are hell bent on destroying our economy by trading and speculating the exchange rate on P2P platforms are in deep shit already.
Instead of investing in physical asset they prefer to get rich quicker by trading USDT in the comfort of their bedroom at the detriment of our economy.
I keep telling people the rate we see online is not the true exchange rate.
I'm sure they will switch to Telegram but don't be surprised in 2 weeks time the CBN will equally ban Telegram.

Agreeing or disagreeing to a government policy is not being an enemy. It is only an enemy when you disagree to all policy because of politics.

Do you think only government can increase our export?
If people like you keep investing millions of naira in crypto, how do we then increase our export?
For Govt officials to eventually loot and use to oppress and intimidate the citizens right? Why are you blind? When billions are not looted by these good for nothing officials the economy will take shape without them doing anything. Imagine like in the state capital of plateau there is no potable water for the past two years I have been here despite trillions of so called subsidy savings shared by our currupt Govt.

When the developed world make sure simple amenities work they are not stupid. But in Nigeria stupidity expects results, HOW?

Rubbish.
Do you know how much percentage of the global government-owned btc the US gov owns? Between 80 to 90% globally.
The US mines the most btc around 38 to 41%, followed by China.
These are countries that have effective economists that worked their asses out of economic decline brought about by Covid 19. These are countries that shoulder responsibilities outside their domains.
I have a good number of guys who mine Ethereum like hell. They set up rigs and are always looking out for the next best graphics card to purchase. A good number of them are chronic gamers and drone pilots. They live their lives enjoying their hobbies and making money out of it. Their social media handles speak crypto. Yet their government has nothing on them.
Advanced countries are getting used to the new metaverse era, where web3 and blockchain hold sway. Seethe rate at which kids are becoming millionaires through token claims…
The world is fast moving ahead, but we chose to celebrate idiots who take us decades back in the name of leadership.
