A week ago, Mrs. Maryanne Moghalu, a former Presidential candidate's wife, who supported Peter Obi, asked the world not to invest in Lagos. Her husband, Kingsley Moghalu, never publicly contradicted, dissociated himself, or disclaimed her words.

And then, three days after Mrs. Moghalu downgraded Lagos, her preferred Presidential candidate, Peter Obi, went to Brampton, Canada, where the mayor of that prosperous town hosted Obi at a reception.

In Obi's presence, the Mayor of Brampton, Mr. Patrick Brown, began eulogising the very same Lagos that Obi's major supporter had just cursed, saying that because of Lagos, he wanted to return to Nigeria and even invest. He did not even mention the state Obi governed for eight years without building a single school (although almost a thousand exam 'miracle centres' flourished under Obi). Neither did he talk of any town in that state or the surrounding states. His talk was just about Lagos, Lagos, and guess what? More Lagos.

Obi stood there awkwardly. He wore a fake smile. He had no option but to clap for Lagos. Especially as the Mayor said he visited Lagos in 2007, when Tinubu was in power and had a wonderful experience that made him fall in love with Nigeria.

Only God knows if he could have visited Anambra without getting abducted, kidnapped, or killed like the thousands of dead bodies dumped in the Ezu River when Obi was in office.

Moral of the story: Anyone who curses Lagos will themselves be affected, and anybody who blesses Lagos will also be blessed. Why? Because Lagos is the gateway to Nigeria. No serious foreign investor will bypass Lagos and invest in the hinterland. The only reason they will go to the interior is if the economic health of Lagos is good. If Lagos and the Niger-Delta sneezes, Nigeria MUST catch a cold!

If you lock the door to your house, you will also suffer. And you will suffer more than the door. Why? Because visitors will still stop at the door and knock before turning back. It is you in the middle and back of the house that will not even hear a knock!

Any day Reno Omokri seizes to mention Peter Obi, he will fizzle away and be forgotten.

Imagine it was Tinubu's wife tweeting Yoruba things always, her Igbo haters would not spare us a minute to remind us that she was a Yoruba bigot.

She revealed herself with that Lagos post and killed the very remote chances of her husband achieving anything political in Nigeria.

As for Obi, he is a charlatan who goes about seeking to deceive until he meets shame.

Those who support him now know him better as shown in their many previous comdemnations when he was a mediocre Governor.
