Only a fool will use his hard-earned cash to develop a property in lagos.
If I don't want to build in my region, I'd rather go to Port Harcourt, Calabar or Akwa Ibom

Someone should remind @Wahab, that he won't be there forever. Power is transient.

Of course he won't be there forever, but he has to do his job which he's doing well at.

Drastic times call for drastic measures.

This is actually a good idea (thinking outside the box) otherwise there's no penalty preventing anyone from building illegally and selling to unsuspecting people

Always looking for a means to milk the citizens. Don't know if it's a curse to be a Nigerian? It seems our suffering gives them joy. What we need are leaders instead of rulers.

Maybe you should go to USA and build illegally on drainage path.

I want to check how they treat your house.

Another Lagos tax payment loading.

Tax on doing the wrong thing is a good thing.

Penalty is the cost of a foul.

A greater Lagos is rising. You can always move back to wherever you came from if you don't like the laws. No one is tying you down to Lagos.
your fellow ronuites claiming lagos were packed like sardines into trucks and dumped in osun state. That's same thing that'll happen to you

This is how it should be done.

People who are in the wrong will be coming out to claim right when the government comes calling.

Don't just bill them for the demolition, arrest and prosecute both the land seller, the land buyer, and the eventually built property owner.

you and your oga .. e ti ya werey

He is there always making a mockery of his upbringing on Twitter sounding like a most unintelligent person.

Excellent. That's how it's done in Germany and many countries. Tax payers should not be bearing the cost for those doing ilegal stuffs.

I agree this is the way it's done in Germany. Why not implement the minimum wage, a better working condition for government workers and staff and a better working system as it is done in Germany?

Pẹ̀lẹ́ APC-30k-paid urchin🤣

Re: Tokunbo Wahab: Illegal Builders May Be Asked To Pay For Demolition by jaxxy(m): 6:51pm On May 08
Supported. I think builders/developers who knowing and Intentionally build on wrong path ways and drainages should be fined to pay for the demolition.

This will make them reconsider building against government laws and directives.

I believe it's justified to penalize builders who are aware of the correct actions but choose to deceive vulnerable clients instead.

All this came to be as a result of massive failure on the part of the government which is largely premised on cancerous corrupt practices by government officials entrusted to ensure proper development and adherence to town planning codes.
What a shame

Why did the Lagos state government do this demolition during his 1st tenure....he has secured his 2nd and last tenure he is now maltreating lagosians.... is this what he promised lagosians during his governorship campaign... goverance is to make life better for the people that voted them into power but not to maltreat them

The fact that power is not forever should not be an excuse for condoning illegality.
