Hi Nairalanders, Good evening. I'm a member of these forum but silently don't comment and I've been coming across news like this I thought it was an easy decision to make.
My girlfriend decided to post my nude video which we did on video call and I was unaware she was secretly recording it untill yesterday when she sent me the video. She said it's a payback for showing her friend her results of first semester 200lvl.
I pleaded with her thinking all was well and she forgive me only to see her ex messaging me and saying he has the video and the pictures.
Please I need advice should I report her to her parent or the police about the threats cause I have screenshots of her threats which she deleted after making such threat.
Please guys I'll appreciate with any of your advice

Are you a celebrity? A social media influencer? If not, then trust me when I say nobody will care. Tell her to leak it, calm down and pour cold water on your body. The highest she can do is show your family members if she has their contact info. I doubt your friends will care. Don't worry, you'll be fine. Don't let anyone extort you, once you start paying money to keep them silent you've turned into bank account and they'll keep coming back to threaten you. Dohh

But on a serious note,don't beg her not to release it, begging her means you are reinforcing her ego. Tell her to do her worst, and if she ends up releasing it,trust me it won't trend more than a week before everyone forget it. Various things have occupied people's mind that they don't have much time to remember your gist.

take it to her parents and her whole family. DO NOT BEG. Go there with a very serious warning and do not listen to any plea. don't even sit down or drink water there so they will know how serious you are.
From there, go straight to the police with your evidence. Police take blackmail cases seriously. Make sure you backup the chats. Let them know that she has already started spreading the video.
