Please let's read the verse again.

Mark 10:7-9
For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and cleave to his wife; and they twain shall be one flesh: so then they are no more twain, but one flesh. What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder.

Leaving your Father and mother and cleaving unto your wife says nothing about leaving their house and it could be interpreted to mean so many things.
Isaac did not leave Abraham house to find a wife.

Guyman like me started my own conditions immediately I realized I wasn't interested anymore .i knew she will not accept the condition which was the bait I used.na so I tell them if they won't accept the condition I don't think am interested anymore and they tot it was a joke till like 5/6month when they didn't hear from me , i started hearing come and do whatever you want and take her.I felt bad for her parents though because it was already late and my mind wasn't there again.I no dey like person wey dey always think without them one can not move on and I don't like drama Queens.If a lady really like his guy, she will be ready to sacrifice alot for the guyman.

You're absolutely right and I won't even advise any woman to marry me if I was in my father's house. However, she knew he was in his father's house and accepted bride price, introduction, wedding gown of 30k and a month abi a week to the wedding the piled up the pressure for him to leave the house. How do you expect him to be running around for wedding and battling agents for a house in another town for that matter? Then add all that to the wedding expenses. The girl didn't want to marry, she was just looking for a valid reason to back off and she got it. Wickedness.

Despite any situation,I don't think it's proper for a man to marry and bring his wife into the family house to live in.

De kind wahala wey ur wife and ur Mama go dey get..ehh,u fit run mad in attempt to settle quell on daily basis.

So even if nah small two rooms,try rent am prior to ur marriage wey you and your wife go stay after marriage.

I don see wetin bin happen to my friend marriage bcuz of staying in family house.I learnt a lesson since then.

That being said, the lady in this case no also try at all.
She should have made her stance known to the guy right from day one of their relationship and not at the injury time she did.

Very true indeed. I feel the bride was pressured into the union that's why she has been canceling at the slightest provocation. Her heart is obviously not in the marriage. Where I fault her is allowing the man spend the little resources he has to pay her bride price rather than standing her ground and waiting for him to be financially buoyant enough to meet her standard.

Brother just thank your God that you just saved yourself from unnecessary life long issues from that kind of a lady. Am sure you have noticed a lot of red flags during this relationship but you have been BLINDED by love and carried on until this very end.

This lady shows that she will be authoritarian and very demanding even if you finally wedded her and as such you will continue to have intense crisis in your marriage that will require both families to be coming often and on to settle and you may also end up having an untimely death. Nothing ends a Man's life quicker than an unsettled and reoccurring issues that are needless in marriage.


Pls share the grace just as you have done, dust yourself and move on...I know it won't be easy as said cause you have seriously invested heavily to see the reality of the marriage that never came forth.


A door closed never means another will not be willing to open, brace yourself and move on and NEVER forget to move on with God on this journey of life.
