There currently tension after Governor Sim Fubara of Rivers State on Thursday stormed the House of Assembly Quarters.


9News Nigeria had reported that the Political crisis in Rivers State escalated on Wednesday after Rt. Hon. Victor Oko Jumbo was elected as the New Speaker of Rivers State House of Assembly.

Hon Jumbo represents Bonny State Constituency and is a member of the Ehie Edison-led faction loyal to the Rivers Government.


Also, 9News Nigeria correspondent gathered there is impeachment move against Governor Sim Fubara of Rivers State.

Apart from GEJ's government, it's very hard to win a legally sitting government, unless by coup which is not easy too if they're unable to detain the government head. As for this particular impeachment, it won't work because the governor has not broken any law or cause any public crises or misuse his power. The man is too too gentle to allow himself to be used up and down. This is the weakness that these guys are trying to take advantage of.

He has been an accountant attached to Rivers State government house for over 20years.

He was paying the children school fees ,rent and feeding most of those boys in house of assembly and lga bosses.

Fubara is from Opobo town, the most educated people in Rivers state.

They are also wealthy.
