Edo has access to the sea via the Benin river, however, it would need permission as the south end of the river is in between Ondo and Delta state.

You are an Igbo man. It is common for Igbo to use other places to create their account name. This serves as cover to perpetrate their online propaganda. Example is the princeoflagos, lagos1stson, Oredopikin etc

Even that slowmir wey dey claim to be from Bini is also an Igbo man. Na so una dey do.

Wondering why some of those people are not even proud of their lineage. Is that how worrisome the place is?

Here is a close look at the Nigeria map.
It is worthy of note that Edo state is the only state in the entire South South without access to the Atlantic ocean.

Why was Delta and Ondo state joined that way at the bottom instead of just extending Edo state to the Atlantic ocean

What was the offense of Edo state to the person that carved out this map to warrant this injustice?

Extending Edo state to the Atlantic ocean will never have affected Ondo and Delta state from having access to the ocean, but the person that carved out the map this way still cut-off Edo state regardless
You're right, though I am not from Edo State but I always ask myself the same question

Yes they are. The whole escravos in Delta is a good example. Olokola LNG/FTZ facility and deep sea port to be built in the Ondo/Ogun waterside axis is eventually going to come back on stream as well.

which Edo state is poor? Check all national statistics of wealth and economy, education and social development you will not find Edo state below 10th position in any of those.

That troll spewing ignorance all over this thread was the limit for me. Imagine someone arguing that Cross Rivers state is not a coastal state. He was even claiming to be an indigene.

There is even a Nigeria Ports Authority (NPA) sea port in Calabar Town itself leading to the ocean.
There is an Inland waterways mini port in Calabar that hosts smaller vessels from Cameroon and Equatorial Guinea.

There is a mini port at Ikang which is the Nigeria part of the conceded Bakassi peninsula.

There is a mini port at Mfum connecting Cross River state to Cameroon.

How any one could look at that map of Nigeria and argue blindly that Cross River state is not a coastal state is baffling. I have even seen some of them argue that Onne port in Rivers state is not a functional sea port. These are lies fed to them from youth by their forebears which they have swallowed and gobbled up with hatred and tribalism.

oga you don't know anything. Learn to travel wide and seek knowledge.
Stop depending on information from the internet.
I still maintain that Cross River State is landlocked.
Check your posts very well you said the Inland Water ways leads to which obviously means that the waterways there leads to the Ocean and not the Ocean itself, Cross River State unlike other littoral states does not have a beach or direct Ocean. It only has various water bodies that leads to the Ocean.
Check up littoral states in Nigeria and you'll see Cross River State has been removed.
Do your findings well and stop arguing blindly.
If you come down to Cross River and locate an Ocean in the State then I'm ready to empty my bank accounts to you.

Edo has access to the Atlantic Ocean through the Benin River near the Atlantic Ocean. Check the map.

The last map was before Nigeria was created. Benin Kingdom was connected the the Atlantic Ocean.
