It's not really like that, if Atiku supported Obi in the last election, we can never have the type of results we had because, 1. Obi will not use the campaign style of going to Churches to take back Thier country, it will be purely PDP vs APC and the will not win Lagos,
2. Those that see Labour as a neutral ( new) party will be shared by APC and PDP
3. The campaign strategy and algorithms will surely change

In all, it will still favour the party it will favour as it did in 2019.

Trick the 3rd party to submit to it's plan. If Obi wins 2027, Pandora will handover for his 2 tenure of 2031 and 2035. Otherwise forced Obi to drop his guard and swing on his support bases and win 2027 primary and make Obi irrelevant. Either way Atiku is 5he winner.

It is really a good way to go but the politicians in the class of Atiku Abubakar can't just be trusted easily.

Atiku's support for Obi is conditional on if the new party nominates Obi. He also cited how he won the PDP ticket after an open contest.

Atiku did not say "if the new party zones the ticket to the southeast".

Atiku invariably wants Obi to join the alliance. Atiku did not say he would let Obi win the nomination. If Obi loses the nomination, he'd lose face and must support Atiku. If he leaves to another party after realizing the game, it would be too late.

Instead of forming a new party, let the opposition elements rally round Peter Obi in Labour Party.

As long as Peter Obi remains relevant and doesn’t put his shoe in his mouth. It will be interesting. Tinubu so far has made it easy in that I am yet to see an overarching achievement from him in 15months.
The last piece of the puzzle would be who controls the senate.
