As we all know that the tripartite committee on minimum wage are still in negotiations with NLC and TUC representatives.
I believe the negotiations will continue till the end of May and if the tripartite committee are able to agree on a new minimum wage before the end of May. President Tinubu may not approve it until June 12.
Aside the president celebrating his one year in office, there is nothing special about May 29. May 29 is only relevant after every 4 years when elected president's gives their inaugural speech.
June 12 on the other hand is Democracy Day and the president is expected to address the nation. President Tinubu may likely want to add the minimum wage in his Democracy address.
However, based on the Minister for labour remarks during workers day on the minimum wage that the financial effect on the wage will be in May. Civil servants should therefore be rest assured that they will enjoy arrears of the wage anytime the government decide to implement it.

Anything less than ₦1m minimum wage is a play thing.
