I didn't even know from the report that the matter had already been handled by the police but the military still came back to take laws into their hands in defiance of the constituted internal security of the land!

This is so unfortunate and once again proof of how our country has lost every ounce of dignity!

To make matters worse,some citizens are even defending the dastardly acts of these cowards who would turn Usan bolt once they sight a bandit or bokoharam member!

I have seen a lot of comments and damn kids have entered Nairaland.
The Army should release him immediately until after investigations have been conducted, If anyone have the jurisdiction to hold him I think it is the police.
But na Naija we dey. Those who beat up the military personnel should be arrested,the military personnel too should also be dealt with because they are acting beyond their powers. If you want to settle case call police.

This is why most plaza management in Abuja are chasing away boys hanging around. They collect work from shop owners & bring trouble to them. They are the ones that beat up those soldiers & now shop owners are suffering for it.

Miscarriage of justice has always been the order of the day by the Nigerian security agencies. They scapegoat innocent and peaceful individuals.

In a sane country, nobody will be arrested unless the beaten soldier identifies the person to be involved. But in Nigeria, a fight between an officer and one person in a marketplace warrants the arrest and detention of all the people in the marketplace, especially if the market is perceived to be dominated by non-Hausas.
