[quote]Too often, I see Obidients boasting about the borehole Peter Obi built in the North as if Peter Obi singlehandedly developed Northern Nigeria to its current state of development due to that project. And then they talk flippantly of Northerners being ungrateful. In this case, ignorance is not bliss, and I choose to set the record straight.

Firstly, what Peter Obi donated, while generous act, is really not a borehole. It is more of a Geepee tank, and even as it is appreciated, it will not last. In fact, we are told it has already stopped working. Beyond that, it was not built out of love. It was done out of political desperation to apologise for his leaked Yes Daddy video threaten "religious war" against the Muslim Ummah. In other words, it is a Greek gift.

The hospital you see in this photo is the Goodwill Medical Centre. It was quietly built in Enugu and donated by a Northerner named Lt. General Yakubu Danjuma (rtd) to the people of the state on Tuesday, November 28, 2023. There were no cameras or reporters. It is just an act of love for humanity by an Arewa man. It is a free hospital to treat disadvantaged local people.

Mr. Danjuma also trained female doctors and nurses and placed them on a salary to treat the poor and underprivileged, and this facility has saved countless lives.

However, he never made noise about it. He has never acted as if he owns Igboland. He was modest about his donation, as most Northerners, Christian or Muslim, tend to be. The reason I know about this is because we have a family connection, and family members brought it to my attention. And I wrote about it last week, and for the first time, many people found out about it. However, those who wrote about it posted the wrong photo. Hence this clarification.

If I had not exposed it last week, many would not have known about the project, which was how Mr. Danjuma desired it to be.

But the point I am trying to make is that Northerners, like TY Danjuma, Aliko Dangote, and Abdulsamad Rabiu, have invested millions of dollars doing charitable work in the Southeast. But they have done this with dignity and have not used it to mock us Southerners. The least we can do is return the favour.

That may be true, I read that he's very rich and was super corrupt, my exposure to politics only cover from 2011 till date, TY probably stole pre 1999.

But all of them are thieves, for example Adams Oshiomole really tried as Edo state governor and he's like a god today in Edo North but he's also a big thief, the last time I went through his village and saw the house he built i just laughed, he doesn't have a verifiable business and has never served in any top capacity in any big organization but he has a house worth millions or probably billions of Naira, that's just one house.
