The Kano State Police Command has announced that all security agencies in the state would comply with the court order that stopped the reinstatement of Emir Muhammadu Sanusi ll as Emir of Kano.

Speaking at a press briefing at the Bompai command headquarters on Saturday, Commissioner of Police Usaini Gumel said the command and its sister agencies would ensure peace in the state.

The command vowed to deal ruthlessly with anyone trying to cause violence over the emirate tussle in the state.

DAILY NIGERIAN reports that a Federal High Court presided by Justice A.M. Liman had granted an ex-parte order restraining Kano State Government from reinstating Emir Muhammadu Sanusi II.

DAILY NIGERIAN gathered the judge gave the order on Thursday night despite the fact that he is reportedly in the US.

The case was filed by a traditional title holder, the Sarkin Dawaki Babba, Aminu Babba-Dan’Agundi.

Is it permissible for a judge on vacation at far away US to give an order according to our laws? Any learned jury here.
There's need for me to be enlightened on such critical issue. In my own common sense, it's awkward to be issuing orders from foreign land in a sovereign country like ours.

Our legal sovereignty does not extend to the US so it is not permissible.

But of course, this is a country anything goes and he is just working for his pay masters.
When I heard the vacation part, I thought it was a joke and not real. I still want to believe it is a joke cause it is unimaginable.

But when Ganduje disobeyed court order, nothing was done.

Because Emir Sanusi was critical of both Ganduje as a governor and Buhari as a president when he cried out about excessive borrowing without production leading to 90% of federal government revenue being used to service debt.

He was the first to cry out that Nigeria will be in trouble if Buhari continued to borrow to fund bogus recurrent expenditures. He predicted that the economy would pay for the financial recklessness of both kano state and federal government. No one listened to him. Rather he was dethroned on account of his demands for good government.

So Buhari was equally happy to get rid of Sanusi, Ganduje succeeded because Buhari had similar objective to do away with him.

But with Tinubu in power, and his strategic planning for the 2027 election, he may not want to get involved in the Kano emir matter for now.

This is series two part two.
