Lol...when people reason like this to justify the hardship Tinubus policies have caused, it makes it clearer to me Nigeria can never come out of her current problems. They will repeat the same mistake again. Imagine this one trying to put ethnic coloration to a socio- economic situation.

Hezmatosky:
I believe the Hausas are just creating artificial inflation on these items. Few months ago it was onions. Now is pepper and tomatoes. That's how beef became 'dont near me' till now. All these things supposed not to cost. They're just doing all this things because they see that it's only them that are doing the farm and we easterners don't do farm. I don't blame them. Gone were the days when planting of tomatoes, pepper, onions, potato, vegetables, okra, egusi, used to be the pride of our young girls and boys in my town and towns around. Norbe all these rubbish tomatoes and pepper we eat now. It was only visitors that used to buy all those things then. Many ladies used the proceeds to build house for their parents, set up mini business for themselves. Na this stupid yahoo and Japa syndrome kill us finish and make us dey live in the mercies of aboki sad

Food is going to be expensive in Nigeria because we don't have large scale mechanised commercial farms, and good road and rail network to evacuate the farm produce.

NIgeria can no longer rely on a man and his or her farming implement.
Tell ur bosses to fix Insecurity, kidnapping & banditry. We shall take care of the farming aspect, I know a few people who have already invested millions in commercial farming, only to be chased away by bandits, kidnappers & abandoned the stuff. One of them was my mentor, them almost bundle am for his rice farm. eventually him japa left the country

Noooo you'll think this people don't have sense. Lie. They knows what they're doing. It's either that have discovered a loophole where their farm produce are taking out of the country for better money or somebody is somewhere buying it before harvest. But who will you blame? I had this thinking before when I used to pass through mile 12 in Lagos years ago, and each time I passes I see lots of spoilt tomatoes and pepper thrown away. Then I used to think can govt or rich somebody buy these products, recircule it, packaged it and sell. But instead our government was there dancing skelewu. Maybe these have discovered a better place to sell their products. I don't believe in their usual excuses that bandits are pursuing them away from the bush. That's typical lie. Government use to finance these guys, give them equipments, species, construct irrigations for them etc. Bro try and watch NTA sometimes you will wat am saying

If you buy this for #500 in birin kebbi . definitely Nigeria is gone. remember my nysc days in kebbi 2006 . × 4 of that is like #100.
It's true ooo. I went to market yesterday in Gusau Zamfara state. Pepper, tomatoes and onions is now beyond the poor, even in the north. People are now using dry pepper to cook.

Here you go again. How do one preserve tomatoes and pepper? Do we know all these things in the south? Sense of farming has left us that's exactly my point. Even new yam festival we used to do, na aboki yam we dey take supplement our little backyard yam, aboki fish, aboki cow meet, aboki pepper, aboki melon, aboki onions, maybe e remain palm oil make begin buy from them for our own town new yam festival o. Where we supposed to showcase our own pride in farming like in those days.
Not only that o, what if water melon, garden egg, mango, corn, goat meat, rice, all these things I grew up and met them surplus in their seasons. Na aboki dey make us eat them now. Infact Anyday aboki decides to leave Nigeria, na hunger go kukuma kill us for South here angry

Sorry to dissapoint you, but I don't work for the government, I don't like APC, or any of the major political parties for that matter. I never voted for Tinubu, and if you think that supporting subsidy removal means I support APC, then by your reasoning I should be a gej supporter since I supproted subsidy removal in 2012.

Seriously, this 'you are a pro-government man' abuse is getting stale. Grow up. People will disagree with you. Respect that, or shut up.

Please 🙏 keep sentiment aside and make some inquiries from people living in the north before you start saying what you don't know. Villagers in sokoto, kebbi, Zamfara, Katsina and Niger are going through alot that you can't imagine even your worst enemy to experience. In Zamfara,a farmer that used to farm watermelon of worth 5m is no longer allowed to go to the farm because bandits will either kill him or kidnap him,a farmer that used to harvest hundreds of bags of grains can no longer harvest a bag. Those farmers are forced to flee their houses at night to escape bandits attack each and every night. Rich farmers have been reduced to paupers. The situation is pathetic.

And this is a country that wants to do foreign exchange competition with other high class countries.

Nigeria wants to compete with countries that have food in large quantities, even have money to pay bills, their problem is extra money for flexing and/or sending money to Africa if the person is an immigrant.

Water get level wey e go settle at.
okp*lor eyes is an exposed failure.

This is certainly not true, this unnecessary increments that we all are encouraging because we want to make over-profit is what is going to finally destroy our naira kpatakpata. The purchasing strength of the naira is being lost on the alter of government ineptitude and citizens greed.
