This exactly is one of the reasons why many foreign brands exited the Nigerian market, yet, we hail these economic saboteurs. In 2002, while admitted at the Ikeja general hospital, a pregnant woman also on admission died as the dribs bought by the husband turned out to be fake, in fact, it was an ordinary water.
There was the case of another greedy guy who imported fake teething drugs (My Pikin), a drug to be administered to infant babies, thereby causing the death of over 19 little children. Fake Malta Guinness, Five Alive, Coca-Cola, Fruit wines, Action Bitters...everywhere. This is bad, it is evil, inhuman and should be discouraged by all and sundry. You don't have to kill fellow human beings in the name of hustling. This economic sabotage won't attract local and foreign investments. We all really need to do better.

For logistics reason, ABA may be the likely source. But cloth materials may be imported from Turkey. For the 'fake" to be reproduced so quikcly, it means the "real"ones are also made in ABA.

But seriously, what can be done to control piracy and counterfeit products? The truth is we've become too comfortable with this culture. Maybe it's because our purchasing power is low, or perhaps we just like taking advantage of cheaper alternatives.

That was how they packaged one man that worked under Abacha as NPA chairman,later mentored by a man certified by his boss obasanjo as thief ATIKU,betrayed ojukwu his greatest benefactor to send APGA to oblivion,a political prostitute (APGA,PDP&LP) ,a religious bigot (yes daddy&wake up take back your country) and a man who invested state money in a bank he has interest,Fidelity bank as being descent and saint for some magas and mugus. Yeah, quite right but it's no excuse to forge anothers sweat. They can do their own brand without imitating anyone else work. And the punishment should cut across too. The higher the crime the higher the punishment.
