COMRADES, I had the privilege of interviewing or talking to one of the aids of one the top politicians in Nigeria about medical tourism abroad, and this is what he has to say;

Not that we don't have the medical facilities here that can treat our political elites, but the challenge is that the politicians don't trust themselves or each other, that they are always paranoid and the reason for their paranoia is that; when they fall sick and agreed to be admitted in the hospital here in Nigeria their opponents can easily or freely have access to manipulate or undermine their treatment and this action could lead to their untimely demise

If Nigerian hospitals can treat you and I well, why won't it do same on them? Their fear is that their enemies or opponents my hijack the treatment. Remember, 80% of Nigerians are easily compromised

There is some truth in that. We have super medical facilities in Nigeria but money can buy you anything in Nigeria even a human life.

Many popular figures will have their pictures all over the internet in their sick state if they were to use Nigerian hospital. That is why many would rather have the doctors come attend to them at home and where that fails, they take the next flight abroad.

If you can look beyond the attitude of workers in teaching hospitals, and hope that you are not the one that they make their human error on, our teaching hospitals are infact good.

what privacy exactly? are they not the ones that inform and some times invite their friends to hospital when they're sick?
