Senator Abba Moro moves motion for Senator Abdul Ningi's recall

The senator representing Benue South Senatorial District and Senate Minority Leader, Comrade Abba Patrick Moro PhD, on Tuesday moved a motion on the floor of the senate for the recall of the Senator representing Bauchi Central Senatorial District, Senator Abdul Ahmed Ningi.

The motion titled, "Unconditional recall of Senator Abdul Ningi" urged the senate to recall Senator Ningi who was suspended for three months on the 12th of March over his unsubstantiated allegation of padding of the 2024 budget to the tune of N3.7trn in an interview he granted the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) Hausa Service on March 9, 2024.

His suspension followed a motion of urgent national importance moved by the Chairman, Senate Committee on Appropriations, Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola. Senator Ningi was suspended for violating legislative rules, misconduct and unethical behavior.

Senator Moro's motion on Tuesday had only one prayer, which was for the senate to reconsider the additional resolution of its Votes and Proceedings of Wednesday, 13th March, 2024 and recall Senator Abdul Ningi for him to carry out his legislative activities. The motion stated that the Senate Minority Leadership accepted full responsibility for the actions of their colleague, Senator Ningi and apologized on his behalf.

The prayer was unanimously approved and Senator Ningi recalled.

Okay. He must have learnt his lessons. He should keep quiet because there's nothing being done on the floor of the Senate that was not done when their Northern brother, Lawan was Senate President. Their hatred for Southern leadership in the Senate is the motivation for all the so called allegations.
Next time he will be dismissed and banned from contesting elections in the country. This is the turn of the South to rule and not be critised for anything.

That the senate leadership stood its ground on this matter is commendable. I dislike the attitude of those northern senators. Buhari was there for eight years with a figure head senate president. Everything was fine with them, as soon as a southerner emerged, they want to start another Jonathan drama but this time, it won't work.
If southerners could cooperate with you for eight years, you too MUST cooperate with us for same period of years.
This country belongs to all of us.
