Though tribe and tongue may differ,
In brotherhood, we stand,

Nigerians all, and proud to serve
Our sovereign Motherland.

Our flag shall be a symbol
That truth and justice reign,

In peace or battle honour’d,
Nigeria worked when we were united in diversity, this national anthem makes even more sense now that tribalism and religion has torn us apart. Nigeria will only be great when we all stand in brotherhood irrespective of our differences.

Okay. I am just thinking how this new anthem will unit already divided Nigerians (along religious and ethnic lines) together, bring food on their table in this hard times. Nigeria then and now are not same. This is the least Nigerians expect from this current administration.
Anyway may God help in this aspiration.

I like this one. It sounds better than the militaristic compatriot shit. This sounds very civilian and engenders a sense of nationhood. smiley Thank you Mr President.

How often do we sing national anthem

The rate at which we sing or hear our national anthem has been dwindling over the years.

I can't remember the last time I heard the national anthem

They should sign bills into law that will make us return to the old price of Bag of rice , bag of cement & the old inflation rate . Not some old Anthem that has no added value to the life of a common man in Nigeria. Apc & Misplaced priorities. I’m sure one day Nigerians will wake up from their docile state & fight for their rights from Elected Representatives 👌

To hand on to our children
A banner without stain.

O God of all creation,
Grant this our one request,
Help us to build a nation
Where no man is oppressed,
And so with peace and plenty
Nigeria may be blessed.

Re: Tinubu Signs Bill Returning Old Anthem Into Law by Azazyel: 1:08pm On May 29, 2024
Tinubu where is your brain today? Why are you people changing the national anthem from the one composed by a Nigerian to the one given to us by the colonial masters? This is not even part of our problems right now. Very useless president and Senate! Next is to change the flag.
