There is only one reason why I don’t like the new national anthem, and that is because it was composed by the whites. We should be getting rid of colonial imprints and not re-embracing it.

However, that national anthem is better in the lyrics. It instill more brotherhood spirit and resonate well with Nigeria and what a national anthem should be.

I agree with your first paragraph. Nigeria should be composing a new national anthem and not going back to the era of post colonialism. The lyrics is good no doubt but government can do better.
