So the Kaduna refinery was calibrated to serve Venezuela? No be today this scam start. End Nigeria! Locating the refinery in Kaduna is already a red flag. No oil in Kaduna, no seaport in Kaduna. Gowon should explain why his regime did it. Let us even accept the calibration for Venezuela's crude oil. Is the refinery functioning? The answer is no. How can you build a refinery is Nigeria and it can't refine our own crude oil but that of Venezuela   , clowns in power.All these useless refinery gulp down billions of dollars every year without refining a single drop of crude. It's true na. There is nothing shocking about it, it's a well known fact. Refined crude from south is pumped through the pipe to the refinery in stages. Petrol, folllowed by kerosene then diesel. |

The Kaduna refinery has always been like that. It can only refine heavy crude oil, the type that Nigeria doesn't produce. The government that built the refinery originally probably thought it made strategic sense then. Today, it looks foolish. In the 70s and 80s, some countries built light and heavy crude refineries. Saudi Arabia and the US built both types, and I believe today Saudis and the USA despite being the largest producers of crude oil, import the variety they don't produce. That said, while the USA and Saudi Arabia may have good reasons for that policy, it did not and still doesn't make sense for Nigeria. 21 Likes 4 Shares |
