First time the court is doing the right thing in River State, I hope another Court doesn't come to counter this judgement.

The rep members are stupid to defect in such high numbers on same date, you can't cross carpet in such a number, it is abnormal for democracy to allow such wickedness. Rode on party A to win election, want to defect to party B just within months of winning elections

The Court of Appeal sitting in Port Harcourt has adjourned to Monday the 3rd of June to rule on the applications brought before it by Rt. Hon. Martins Chike Amaewhule & 24 ors Vs Victor Oko Jumbo & 5 Ors.

At the resumed hearing today, the respondents had filed a counter, the court directed the plaintiff to respond between now and 12 noon tomorrow and show proof of service on the respondents through any means even though via WhatsApp and also directed the respondents to respond if any, by Monday morning before the resumed hearing.

Counsel to the plaintiff had told the court to consolidate all the applications before it, following yesterday's interlocutory injunction issued by a Rivers High Court judge despite the pendency of the appeal before a higher court.

The three man panel of justices adjourned to 3rd of June to hear and rule on all applications.

This is from the Appeal court, the judges even asked pro wike lawmakers to serve pro sim lawmakers via watsapp because they are trying to employ delay tactics, why employ delay tactics if they are so sure of winning?

I beg since it involve state matter, can a federal high court entertain the matter?

Remember it was Inec ' a federal body that conduct the election so I think FHC can still entertain the matter.

Another kangaroo order from the Rivers State High Court. The CJN should summon these incompetent people. The judiciary is confused and setting itself up to be disregarded. By referencing 13th of December, the court is saying Edison Ehie was the speaker who declared their seats vacant. That is absurd. It is a shame what the judiciary has become.

Sorry sir,video evidences does not count in electoral or constitutional matters but written or documented records.for a defection to happen,the defectors must write a letter and sign and the speaker must read and endorse it.can you provide their signed defection letters and the endorsement of the speaker? It's a dead matter

I think it would be reasonable for anybody who wants to decamp to vacate the position and INEC conduct a new election.
