Nice but too fast. Anthems are solemn and rendered at a pace to let each word and line sink deep to invoke national pride and patriotism. That's why it's not tungba |

FreeStuffsNG:I disagree. We are not Europeans. This pace inspires us more than slow. Instead of feeling the vibe, you're already thinking of how white people do their own, to see if yours sounds like theirs. Dem jazz you? ![]() |

Quintessence44:This is not a debate. If you read up on what anthem means, you will be better informed. The Egba nation anthem is over a century old and was composed as far back as 1922, it is older than all our national anthem, not composed by a foreigner but an illustrious Egba son, late Cannon J.J Ransome- Kuti, the grandfather of Fela Kuti and Prof Wole Soyinka. Listen to it below to know that anthem being slow doesn't mean it is European, it's to evoke a rousing feeling of identity and pride. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gOYLu3oBflU?si=fGLTMX8pzczZxayr Before you do anything like this, read up on it so you don't appear like a quack. It's even an offense to tamper with the national anthem, just like the flag and other national symbols. |

FreeStuffsNG:This thing you posted is not as rousing and inspirational as the anthem. The main thing is that in AFRICA, the pace of a song does not determine its inspiring effect. That might be the case in EUROPE, but not in Africa. IN AFRICA, it can be fast AND inspirational. It can also be SLOW and inspirational. By limiting inspiration effect to slow-paced music, you are being unduly influenced by European convention. |

Some people think Nigeria is a clubhouse. They want to dig it out. It's never good until Obi ratifies it . That's why Obidenses are zombies. |
