Biafra is not going to solve the multitude of problems affecting south-easterners. The corruption, tribalism and intolerance that got us where we are now will not magically go away when Biafra becomes a reality. In fact the tribalism might even turn out to be worse because the smaller the difference between communities, the larger it appears in the mind of the people. What will will be the fate of non-igbo speaking people in this hypothetical Biafra? How do you know that the leaders you will get then will be better that ones you have now? Remember that while the system may change, the elites almost always have a way of staying in power. Why are you people forcefully taking territories of people that do not identify as Igbos (South-South)? Nobody is asking these questions not to talk of answering them and that says a lot. I rest my case. |

Beautifulday:Attached is a map of Biafra. Did you notice that it has a lot of south - south cities in it? In fact I am surprised Edo is not there because Simon Ekpa has appointed a governor of 'igodomigodo'.

Beautifulday:Biafran. org. In fact almost all the current maps I could find all had non-igbo speaking territories. One even had Kogi in it (the map was from vanguard). Here

| Re: Questions No One Is Asking About Biafra? by Beautifulday: 9:28pm On May 30, 2024 |
NSNO:What is biafra.org? We are talking about the mediocrity of the present government here you are displaying the same. You don't just draw map. Map no be artwork. You saw kogi in the map and you thought the people that drew it are stupid because it has something to do with Biafra? The map you see has been existing before the Biafran struggle. Nigerian map existed before Nigeria. Do you know there is a part of Kogi in Anambra state? Do you know that there is a part of Igbo in Kogi? Do you know how states are created in Nigeria? This is the mediocrity we are talking about. That a people were joined to another tribe during state creation doesn't mean they don't know where they are from. |

Who is forcefully taking whose region? Why are you, a non easterner worried so much about the south south? |
| Re: Questions No One Is Asking About Biafra? by NSNO(op): 9:39pm On May 30, 2024 |
Beautifulday:Yes it makes sense to add the Igbos speaking communities in other states to your Biafra. That's common sense. But what has the Itsekiris, the Binis, the Urhobos, the Esans, the Etsakos etc, what concerns them with Biafra? Why are you people adding them to Biafra? That's one of the questions I want answered and you have still not answered it. What are they doing there? |
| Re: Questions No One Is Asking About Biafra? by NSNO(op): 9:44pm On May 30, 2024 |
Bardo:I am worried because I am from the South-South. We (the majority) don't want anything to do with it. As for the 'Who is forcefully taking whose region?' I have shown proof (current Biafran maps from a reputable news site and from a Biafran. org website) that Igbos want those regions. |

NSNO:80% of elite Igede I v met agreed and accept Biafra. But a yoruba man from ogun will be preaching otherwise |
| Re: Questions No One Is Asking About Biafra? by gidgiddy: 9:53pm On May 30, 2024 |
NSNO:You are from the South South? The Nigerian constitution does not recognise anything called South/South. The truth is that you have grabbed several ethnic groups you have absolutely nothing in common with and put them in your so called South South. This is the very thing you accuse the Biafran of trying to do. That's the problem with Nigeria, everyone is grabbing everyone into a fake union, whether they like it or not Only the Biafran agitator wants democratic referendum where everyone freely decides where they want to be. Nigeria is all about "unity by force", that's why it has never worked |
| Re: Questions No One Is Asking About Biafra? by NSNO(op): 9:59pm On May 30, 2024 |
Entprys:You strike me as someone who is not smart. You insult people who disagree with you. I don't know why I have to say this to an adult but not everyone who disagrees with you is a Yoruba person. You need to get out of your echo chamber. People don't want Biafra as much as you think they do. |
| Re: Questions No One Is Asking About Biafra? by Rutherford2019: 10:00pm On May 30, 2024 |
OP you are correctly incorrect What IPOB is saying is that referendum should be conducted to determine whether those Niger Deltans, Kogis and Benue who speak and identify with Igbos want to belong to Biafra. Nobody wants to coerce anybody to become Biafra Infact, IPOB is saying conduct referendum both in the SE and SS to determine what we want. And for you to be telling them that Biafra will not solve their problem...why drink panadol for another man headache? Do they ask you for your advice? If they conclude that Biafra is the solution to their problems then allow them |
| Re: Questions No One Is Asking About Biafra? by NSNO(op): 10:01pm On May 30, 2024 |
gidgiddy:Oga Nigeria is divided into six geopolitical zones and that is a fact. I am not saying that you can't agitate for your country, just do it within your boundaries. And there are other questions in my post, please answer them intelligently. |
| Re: Questions No One Is Asking About Biafra? by NaMe4: 10:09pm On May 30, 2024 |
gidgiddy:The South-Southerners don't have anything in common with one another, but have something in common with Igbos. Funny indeed! All this madness ends online and in the South-East of course |
| Re: Questions No One Is Asking About Biafra? by NSNO(op): 10:12pm On May 30, 2024 |
Rutherford2019:That's not what IPOB and Co is saying. They (Simon Ekpa) have already appointed governors for those regions. That does not sound like it is up for discussion, does it? Rutherford2019:I was just pointing out something that few people are talking about while asking for clarification on some issues. If that means I am taking panadol on another man's headache, so be it. Though how is it another man's headache when they are still part of Nigeria? |

NSNO:If you are truly from the south south, In case you don’t know, IPOB are not forcing Biafra on anyone, they are clamouring for a referendum in those states to decide what the majority truly wants. The thing is that Biafra will be a confederate state according to MNK so it would be your tribe governing your tribe, no domination. Go and research what a confederate state is. Because you don’t want Biafra doesn’t mean others don’t want it. Nigeria is obviously not working Biafra is the most viable alternative You shouldn’t be fighting against the referendum, you should aim at giving concrete reasoning why you think Biafra wouldn’t work |

Op dies Biafra sound IGBO to you? I dare ask you, what has been the lot of minorities in Nigeria? Have they been wiped off the face of the earth? Do you even know what is called constituent assembly? |

Biafra will come with a referendum of who wants to come along NSNO: |

NSNO:Try and educate yourself a bit. Do you know it was an Ijaw man that named it Biafra? Are you even aware it was another Ijaw man that wrote the National Anthem of Biafra? Don't take my words for it, Google Chief Frank Opigo and learn properly. Back then there was nothing like South South. |

Beautifulday: Some people are just too dull. They don't know state creation was done by humans and one shouldn't expect people that don't like the Igbos to do a better task. So because of imaginary boundaries someone in Imo state is Igbo, but the other person across in Rivers state is a different tribe who share same culture with the person in Imo state? It's unfortunate that dull people are being given important position and they use their office to carry out their hatred towards the Igbos. How can a fully grown adult don't know a state is not a tribe rather the people inside that state makes up the state. |

This shows you inherited foolishness as prized possession. This thread was specifically created about Biafra n not about the trauma you experience about the government. Is your head functioning or you simply have nothing on it ?! Just listened to this dull headed ipob there is a part of Kogi in Anambra. Na WA o ipob should desist from releasing senseless people into Nairaland to defend it foolishness now abi which kind nonsense be all this ?! Beautifulday: |
| Re: Questions No One Is Asking About Biafra? by NSNO(op): 5:11am On May 31, 2024 |
Bardo:Like I said to Rutherford2019, Simon Ekpa has appointed governors for those regions. That doesn't seem like it's up for discussion, does it? And please go out into the street and ask around, very few South-Southerners want Biafra. They are my people and that's where I grew up so I am not talking ignorantly. Now please if you can, answer all the other questions. Thanks |
| Re: Questions No One Is Asking About Biafra? by NSNO(op): 5:21am On May 31, 2024 |
1x2x3:Oga that an Ijaw man did all that then doesn't mean that all Ijaws want Biafra now. And even if the Ijaws want Biafra what about the numerous other tribes in these states? Does it mean that they want it too? Now if they did all that because of a future referendum then why do those maps give the impression that it's a done deal? Why not put something on the map to indicate that it is still pending? Why go ahead to appoint governors? I hope you can see why the whole referendum thing is not explaining the whole thing satisfactorily. |
| Re: Questions No One Is Asking About Biafra? by NSNO(op): 5:24am On May 31, 2024 |
Validated:Biafra does sound Igbo. Nobody is going to mistake the Bia in it for anything else. They have not been wiped off the face of the earth but don't you think that they deserve to have a say in whether they want to be part of Biafra or not? Now if they did all that because of a future referendum then why do those maps give the impression that it's a done deal? Why not put something on the map to indicate that it is still pending? Why go ahead to appoint governors? I hope you can see why the whole referendum thing is not explaining the whole thing satisfactorily. |
