You shout and 'fight' for justice and equality but most of us don't even know what it means.

1. The young man have the right to express himself within the rubric of Law. He is exercising his human right.

2. He is sharing his experience with his fellow country men and women in order to educate them and equip them with knowledge needed when applying and visiting this country.

3. The equipment he had with him was not dangerous and no one notified him of its prohibition before he ventured on the journey. Even his host didn't do their part in order to avoid that experience for the man. He is just a lecturer or researcher using modern day equipment to do his work!

4. If the Swiss authority did the right thing he wouldn't be told not to tell his story. They knew they merely profiled him, humiliated him, wasted his time and left him with bad memories (got him handcuffed, locked up underground, and harassed).

Let us try not to approach issues from a myopic point of view. Ire oooo

Etsetowghan Andrew said he had visited the country for work and was returning home when he was asked to surrender his bagpack to be searched. He said the presentation laser pointer used to deliver slides independently by hand with MSpowerpoint was found in his bagpack.

He said he was told that it is prohibited in Switzerland and thereafter detained in a cell for two hours. He said he was held in the cell until he got a Swiss resident with a verifiable address to guarantee him before he was released.

The Swiss police are very racist towards blacks. On a Swiss Air flight several years ago to Ireland, we stopped in Zurich on transit. I was singled out and led to what appeared as a toilet and my passport seized. Within minutes I noticed that every single flight that came in a few other blacks were brought in. I then stood up and demanded to know what the heck was going on. I presented them with my credentials and work details. I was let go without any explanation. That was the last I flew Swiss Air

That axis is an axis of "black hate" . In 2004 as young Oil/gas Engineer I was travelling to Cologne from Amsterdam t(where i worked) to attend a Workshop and to make a presentation at a refinery on Lifecycle Costing for some asset. It was supposed yo be a week in Germany and I was already looking forward to a good ride on the Auto Bahn...
Ofcourse I flew business and was the only black face I noticed on that short flight from Amsterdam.. as soon as I arrived the luggage carousel to pick my bag...German immigration and police numbering about 5 were already hovering around . Once I picked my bag to proceed to my waiting limousine, na so they swamped me, asked me yo follow them to their office, took my passport, laptop, my wallet containing some cash and credit cards...was asked my mission in Germany...I told them and simply opened my laptop at their request to show them emails communications and the invitations ...which I calmly did.. matter of fact I cooperated up till when they said they wanted to "swipe " me after a physical body, Laptop and luggage check came to nothing .
As Naija man I started to question my detention ans demanded to see their boss...after about 15 mins I was allowed to go without an explanation or some real apology because all i hesrd was "we're just doing our jobs' but I insisted to see their Boss. I eventually met the guy who spoke very clearly English language with German accent ofcourse. He apologised and then gold me that they had a tip-off that a Surinamese illigal immigrant from Amsterdam they've been trailing was on my flight and i asked if I fit the description and his answer was "No sir, but you know you're black like the surinamese suspect....and my boys made a mistake...i apologise" I got the message long before then so wasn't shocked.
I told them they'd have to pay for a taxi to take me to my hotel as my originally booked limo had left...He agreed, they got and paid for the cab to drop me at my hotel...
I made sure I got all their names...took some photographs low keyed while Been interrogated like a common criminal and showed the evidences to my host at the refinery the next day....they went into action and 2 days after i got an apology in English and Germany languages from the Immigration public relations....I returned to Amsterdam like a Prince through same immigration a week after...ofcourse I had scanned and emailed the apology to my private email...no dulling!
I didn't pursue the matter legally after...even thoughmy Company in the Hague thought it was an option I could exploit...
