You do understand the change was initiated by a legislative bill and the president had not input other than to sign it. It could have withheld his signature and pushed back but what would be his gain in doing that.

Well it's not compulsory to say it out loud tho.

Players (worldwide) are not mandated to sing it; laslas just remain motionless (as sign of respect for ur country) when it's being played.

Those old tools we call politicians never consulted Nigerians about changing the anthem, no regards what so ever for the citizens of the country, sharply they changed the anthem within two weeks, for what ever reasi s best known to them
