I've been to several African countries and I know the menace of Igbo guys.
It is not being tribalistic.
When I first got to a foreign land the first warning I got was "Dont mingle with Nigerians, especially Igbo guys. They will put you into trouble"

Yorubas and every other tribes are into crime too. An example is Hushpuppy. Is he Igbo? No! He is Flesh and blood Yoruba. And his crime was topnotch. Master of the game.

But the fact remains that when it comes to international image denting of Naija. Igbo are the number one. 85-90% of crime is by Igbo.
I am speaking from Experience.

Almost all Igbo in my church in a foreign land were into crime.
Only two or three Igbo in my Choir had legit jobs. Others were mainly into drugs.

Be sincere for once in your life time.

I stayed for just a month in South Africa. Three days out of it with two Igbo guys. I left the place to go stay in a hotel when I realized they were about to get me into trouble. The third day was the day they hammer again and the girl they scammed was crying profusely and begging on the phone. The Igbo guy that scammed her was even saying, "Chai, I dey pity this girl o. E be like say make I return part of the money," When asked how much, he said about three million naira CONVERTED.
TO MY ASTONISHMENT, THE OTHER ONE KNELT DOWN AND WAS THANKING GOD FOR THE DEAL. (I was shocked that I wondered how Igbo parents raise their kids)

The following morning I parked my bag and luggage go stay for hotel till I returned to Naija.

On the flight coming to Naija, A naija guy who was lonely on his seat came to join me, cause I was the only one on my seat too. He started telling stories how Igbo guys put him into trouble. LONG STORY. How he was locked up and beaten for three days by SA police until the Zimbawe guy who worked with the Igbo guys was caught and told the police the guy was not part of the crime.

It pains Igbo when truth are said about how Igbos are the ones denting naija image.

The major problem is IGBO dont see CRIME as CRIME they see it as BUSINESS.

They were not directing the hatred to a particular tribe, they did to all Nigerians irrespective of their tribe. I’m a Yoruba man and I have friends and relatives there who are always complaining about them.

South Africans did not hate you just because you brought drugs to their country, they hate at the slightest of every silly reasons. They hate if you are more intelligent, they hate if your biz is more progressing, they do if their ladies follow you. They are animals especially the black ones.
