huptin:What's your current grade... SBO or AM |
| Re: First Bank Employee On The Run After Diverting ₦40 Billion; Bank Begins Recovery by huptin(m): 1:50pm On Jun 01, 2024 |
Messina123:My grade is higher than both...I am not comfortable divulging that information online. But AMs will earn nothing less than N1Mn in most banks today. |

huptin:DM or Manager. I'm just asking considering the way promotions get scarce in banking especially considering the length of time spent in service |
| Re: First Bank Employee On The Run After Diverting ₦40 Billion; Bank Begins Recovery by huptin(m): 4:08pm On Jun 01, 2024 |
Messina123:Yes promotion has been scarce in some banks, especially the tier one banks but the rule is not to stay in a place i have worked in 5 banks including 2 of the big ones. The bigger the bank the harder it is to be promoted and easier it is to be sacked..but i work in the digital arm and things are slightly better here. But even as hard as it is i know people that spent 10 years to become full managers and they may necessarily not be connected... its about what competition can do to get you and what your bank can do to keep you. It is a small but competitive industry. |

Nigerian banks should first of all explain to us why end of month charges are deducted without a debit alert to that effect. They just remove ur money, no debit alert,.... It doesn't even reflect in ur bank app. Especially UBA bank. Bunch of thieving masquerades |

Reelmii:I also don't support under-payment of bank employees (particularly through contract employment), but the suspect in this particular case is unlikely a contract staff that was underpaid. According to the report, he controlled a major account and was the last line of authorization for such reversal transactions. He was definitely a top-shot within the hierarchy for him to hold such significant authority, and well paid This is likely (not 100% certain) to be caused by greed and discontentment. Just saying though |
