Earlier today, we commissioned the Solarised PSA Medical Oxygen Plant and Level 2 Newborn Unit at the Jericho Specialist Hospital. This facility was provided by UNICEF in collaboration with NACA, the Clinton Health Access Initiative (CHAI) and the Federal Ministry of Health.
We also launched the Oyo State Strategy for the Scale-Up of Medical Oxygen in Health Facilities plan which is another way we are improving our healthcare facilities in the State.

it’s a state government projects in conjunction with UNICEF. There’s no Fg representative in the commissioning of the projects here.

Every state in Nigeria should have at least one facility like this.

I hope other Governors can replicate this.

Nigeria as a country was extremely lucky that covid did not take root as much as it did in some countries, otherwise many hospitals would have catastrophically ran out of oxygen to treat many of the afflicted.
