folake4u:I sent a mail to the headquarters and I got that response. At first they denied it then I sent screenshots of my app, alert notification and my statement then they responded saying that nonsense. Someone said I should go to the bank and change it for them . I will do that when I go to update my account Sha .. going to bank really isn't my thing that's my problem. But I will..Why remove 40k when there's a limit, shouldn't it just reject the whole transaction? I don't understand. Hopefully they will reverse the 10k but can the system do such mental sum of take away and give change? Lol 😂😂😂 this country ehn. |

Reelmii:Do not mistake the contract staff for the main bank staff. They are paid well. I stand to be corrected, but I don't think there's any commercial bank paying their staff below 300k as at today. Besides, person wey be thief na thief. What about our politicians? You sef do the maths. |

I think First bank is very porous now. I can't believe a transactions between first bank to first bank could verified. This is over a month and i complained but till date nothing was done about it. I still have transactions receipt but did not reflect in the beneficiary account that is same first bank. |

Ezmans:Tribalism is the reason why we are where we are right now. Corruption is not affiliated to any tribe when done. I believe someone applied for this job before it was given to this man that just ruined his life. Perhaps, he got the job because of tribe. Let's do the right thing sometimes |

Weak systems. Authoritizations, especially of significant amounts should not ly solely on one person. At least a senior management person, internal audit and the said manager should have authorizations. Also multiple transactions that follow suspicious patterns must be flagged and an automated mail sent to internal audit and one or two management staffs as notification of transactions at least. They really need to redesign their processes to make it harder for such to repeat. |

As one former President rightfully or wrongfully said some years back "If you put a goat where yam is, it will eat it, if you put people where money is, they will steal it" Goodluck Jonathan ("PHD") |

The CBN is also to blame. They have orders that these reversals be resolved within 48 hours but the punishment is not strong enough deterrent. All the Banks customer care department are useless in resolving fund reversal complaints. A lot of customers' funds are hanging in the reversal pool, only for the department head to steal... |

immortalcrown:Yes they do and even more. Reason why there should be systems in place to prevent this. Why should a single banker be able to do this? What are the checks and balances within the bank? |
| Re: First Bank Employee On The Run After Diverting ₦40 Billion; Bank Begins Recovery by rickleye: 2:53am On Jun 02, 2024 |

Reelmii:Your mumuness stinks! So you think an employee who occupies such a sensitive position at First bank is paid 80k or even 200k per month. Use your brain for heaven’s sake, the avaricious tendencies in people can make them do the unthinkable. |

immortalcrown:Hi bro, Just to answer your question. White bankers can never try this in their life. It’s straight up jail, however there are bad eggs in the banking sector here too. What they do is probably work with some people to do email phishing and request for your card details. And you’ll always be warned when you get to bank not to divulge those information and check for email addresses before clicking on any link. Nigerian bankers are just pure devilish people. We as Nigerians need to fix ourselves before holding the government responsible. Change begins with me and every other Nigerians. |
