Which economy is this fool talking about? Same one the common man can't even meet basic life necessities now? Does this man fully knows what galloping inflation of two-digits range does to a country’s economy? The Federal Government of nigeria seems to be in a repetitive pattern of borrowing and debt servicing, creating what could be described as a financial carousel. By adopting this method of debt management, concerns are heightened regarding the sustainability of the govt’s fiscal approach. Questions arise about the long-term implications on investor confidence and nigeria’s creditworthiness, considering the pressing need for a more durable economic growth path and fiscal stability. What kinds of dunce heads is Nigeria just unfortunate to have in government? |

The National Bureau of Statistics reported in its April consumer price index that Nigeria’s inflation rate rose to 33.20 per cent in March 2024 up from 31.70 per cent in February According to the bureau, food inflation also surged to 40.01 per cent in the month under review. But the minister reiterated on Sunday that the situation was under control as the reforms and economic policies of President Bola Tinubu are gradually paying off. Lies and propaganda is not good governance. |

The only time BAT released a statement about the killing of our soldiers as president was when soldiers were killed in the South-South and South-East regions. He remained silent all the while our soldiers were being massacred by terrorists in the North. After the delta incident, more soldiers were killed in the north, he kept quiet. Two weeks ago five soldiers were killed in Katsina , nobody heard anything from the president. |

Of course, Wale Edun's economy has witnessed a tremendous amount of growth, with his pockets fatter having sought the removal of social investment programs of the ministry of humanitarian affairs and domesticating them in his office, cornering and siphoning all the funds meant for the poor, most especially the N25,000 conditional cash transfer meant for the poor. |

The only time this guy would make sense is if we wait till next few months as he said to see if the country is going the right direction. Unfortunately these guys are just buying time. Roll of milk I bought 2100 the other day is now 2800. Basically a sachet of milk is going to 300. I remember when I use to buy tin of milk 800 naira. Hmm this is very serious and scary |

When the economy is growing on paper but the people on ground are suffering, is that not an irony? Those in government are the beneficiaries of the fake growth. |

The minister thinks he's clever by half. What's is growing is the nominal GDP caused by surging inflation. A serious economy focuses on Real GDP which measures rising output while keepong inflation in check. Nominal GDP 2015 10 bags of rice at 8k each = 80k 2024 10 bags of rice at 80k each = 800k Real GDP 2015 10 bags of rice at 8k each = 80k 2024 100 bags of rice at 8k each = 800k From the example above, we can see that Nigeria's GDP growth is caused by hyper inflation (rising prices) and not output. The government is feeding fat by putting more people into poverty. |
