From 2019-2024, NASS budget increased from N128bn to N344.9bn while workers salary remained 30k for the same period.

Their monthly pay increased from N29.4m to N37.57m while workers salary remained 30k.

All they achieved was new national anthem.

Dear NLC,

See how much one sitting senator is earning in Nigeria. Yet the Senate President is begging people to accept 35k as national minimum wage.

If you back down from this strike without achieving your aim of making life easier for the common man, then you have failed.

Anything below N500,000 can’t cover the cost and expenses of workers…..

Monthly bills of foodstuffs, cooking gas, petrol/transport fees, kids school fees, Tv bills, electricity bills, health bills and many more other expenses for family.

Ajaero is unpopular, if he was popular, people would willingly follow him and there'd be no need to forcefully push workers out of their office. In Jos, some NLC workers enforcing the strike were beaten up and got injured in same manner he was beaten in Imo state.

Reno Omokri, a former presidential aide on Monday says the N494,000 Minimum wage being demanded by organised labour is unrealistic.

The labour leaders are currently commencing a nationwide indefinite strike due to the refusal of the Federal Government to increase the proposed minimum wage from N60,000.

In a post on his Facebook page, he also accused the president of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), Joe Ajaero of fronting for Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP) in the 2023

He wrote “₦494,000 is more than sixteen times the current minimum wage of ₦30,000. If the Federal Government accepts that as the new minimum wage, and Nigeria’s production capacity does not also increase times sixteen, it will lead to the mother of all inflation that will destroy the Nigerian economy and turn us into Zimbabwe and Venezuela”.

don't let them deceive u. How many times hospitals are using NEPA light? There is no different between private and government hospital again now due to their outrageous bills. So they should settle for generator they have been using.
