What is wrong with these politicians? Why are they concentrating on what Labor asked for and not what the government is offering? Is what the govt offering realistic? We can now see that the politicians are in the same group. It's them vs the people. |

N494,000 might seem a bit on the high side and unrealistic, but if you compare this amount to the outrageous allowances our so called politicians and lawmakers are earning on a monthly basis...I think N494,000 is a fair deal, considering the present high cost of living and inflation rates. Maybe the elites and ruling class should also be paid minimum wage of N60,000. Let them as well have a taste of the pudding and feel the burdens masses are experiencing. They can't be living large and spending frivolously while asking civil servants to depend on a meagre sum of N60,000. That's the height of wickedness and unfairness. |

TIANANMEN SQUARE MASSACRE You all are witnessing strike actions but never know the source. You watched the toll gate protest and never knew who played it. You watched Emefiele monetary policies but failed to realise that ; a single man, EMEFIEL, or any Nigerian COULD NEVER have thought that things themselves. Well let me surprise you, those who planned The TIANANMEN SQUARE MASSACRE, indeed planned this. The CIA +M16 and their allies. Read about it here to see that the toll gate massacre took the REAL shape of it. https://x.com/AndyBxxx/status/1797650356727665115?t=wShle4HiJKWiGpQlsM_1Eg&s=19

Bukola94:Truth is the apc has made things really bad, but at the same time, we all have to be realistic. The minimum wage issue should combine moderate increases, measures to bring down and stabilise prices of goods and services, extreme sacrifice and cost saving on the part of government officials and finally, a concrete policy to check reckless spending, corruption and unproductive utilisation of funds and tax increase. |

People are always attacking and blaming NLC instead of the people to see the unpatriotic acts of the people in power( executive, legislation and judiciary). Theses greedy people have never even for once collectively agree to reduce their salary and allowances by 25% just to show sympathy and love to their citizens, yet the claim they love the country and are working tirelessly to make the nation great. The only to get what u want from them is by force(strike). |

FreeStuffsNG:oga face front. Commot your mouth for this matter o.... Nigerian government have enough money to pay each citizen 500k every month without being broke.... If you think I am lying check this out..... 1million politician in this country steals about almost 1trillion. And they don't use the money. They keep it till the money decay, they burn it or and steal another 1trillion.... Divide that to the number of Nigerians that we have. |

NLC should have gone on strike in January. This govt is wicked. Haba, the price of everything has gone up, but the citizens are poorer than before. Anybody against this strike by Labor is an enemy of the poor. I hope worker take note of any group that is against their action and avoid them in any election. And for thosw saying they are asking for too much, that is what negotiation is all about. I am sure they will settle for anything between 100 to 120k. This strike was necessary because govt has been taking them for a ride. |

Beautifulday:Did the government care if we could afford the so-called subsidy removal which was done by an executive fiat? Did the governments (previous included) care that their policies and foreign loans was impoverishing the citizens and devaluing the Naira? Why should government use this time to speak of what they can afford to pay instead of that which is realistic and fit for the ordinary Nigerian? Do you have any idea of Governments expectation for the minimum standard of Living for a Nigerian? Should the least paid Nigerians be able to eat 1. One Egg per day @N200*30= N6,000 per month 2. One Meat or Fish per day @ N200*30 = N6,000 per month 3. Two Square meal per day @ N500*30 = N15,000 per month 4. One "Tinned milk" per day @ N700* 30 = N21,000 per month 5. Transport to work of N1000 per day = N30,000 per month 6. Phone of N100 per day = N3,000 per month 7. Electricity and Water bill of N6000 per month 8. Housing @one Room (N10,000) per month 9. Clothing @ N3000 per month This is N100,000 but your Government is offering N60,000 : what should we remove from this list? Do you think this estimates are bogus or unreasonable for a single adult Nigerian mouth? (Note: I didn't include things like Hospital Bill, Dependants, Vacations, Vehicle maintenance etc Government should be thinking of the minimum standard of living expected for a Nigerian and work towards it rather than impoverishing the citizens in other for those in government to have money for white elephant projects |

If the monthly salary of senator is N29,479,749 and the minimum wage is N30,000, that means a senator's monthly salary can pay 982 people on minimum wage. We need to start singing that senators should get 50% pay cut. |
