Why not first discuss how Tinubu can solve the problem as a sitting President? Why is Obi the main character in every national discuss of late. Any President that knows his onions can drastically reduced corruption at the State levels but he that goes to equity MUST do so with clean hands.

Oga the point he raised is major.... Governance is not emotional willingness or Miracle .we Nigerians should talk much on the leaders that close to us than be emotional on who becomes the president. State and local government take major role in poverty alifiations and Human development in the rural areas.

Decentralize power/responsibilities. Let the local govt be in charge of collecting taxes. The fg/sg should hands off running schools/universities, hospitals, maintaining roads, security as much as possible. Anyone who is not okay with services can easily go to the local govt office to face the local govt chair instead of shouting tinubu from ariaria or idumota market.

Not surprised. That is how it must be if one understands that effective delegation and diligent sharing of responsibilities is needed to get tiers of Nigerian governance working optimally to the benefit of Nigerians.

It is the reason we had Federal, State and Local Government as tiers of Nigerian government before corruption, especially at State government level, reduced local governments into glorified and worthless toys of Governors.

Most nigerians dont know the role of govt and are not capable of/interested in holding govt officials accountable.
If we had properly functioning local govts since independence in charge of hospitals, water supply, local electricity distribution, agriculture, street security, universities and polytechnics, the nation would have been far ahead than we are right now.
These things are not rocket science, it only involves electing responsible commoners like you and I in the local offices.
It is far easier to check the activities of the local man living next door to you than the one chilling in abuja. You cant be paying taxes to your next door neighbour for basic amenities and sit idle watching things go bad as they are now. Military govt did too much harm to this nation over the years, the earlier that is corrected the better for us all.
More and more responsibilities should be shifted away from abuja and closer to your door step.
