For instance, in the first quarter of 2024, China's trade with other BRICS countries rose by 11.3%, reaching a value of $209.7 billion . This growth includes significant increases in both imports and exports across member states.

Additionally, the BRICS countries are working on enhancing their economic collaboration through initiatives like a unified digital currency payment system. This system aims to reduce reliance on Western financial institutions and facilitate more efficient cross-border transactions within the bloc

Not really.

Membership possibility was actually extended to Nigeria but we're yet to put in a formal application. Though it is expected that we should do so within the next two years.
