The government devalued the currency, removed subsidies causing massive inflation and suffering on the citizens of Nigeria. They are trying to immune themselves from the pain of inflation that they inflicted on the docile citizens of Nigeria.

I am not against increment but it shouldn't be too high cause it will result in inflation and worsen the situation. The Labour union is the one that is selfish. They are only thinking about themselves. Those working with government at any level are not mere than 5% o those in the working class So, what happens to the remaining 95%? We need a holistic solution. The strike should have been against government policies that are counter productive. It should have been against the insecurity which is contributing to the high cost of food items. It should have been to ask Tinubu to perform or resign.

It's possible you are a baby in economics. Such increase will bring inflation. Prices of food items will rise. Transportation costs will also increase. Don't be surprise to see a bag rice being sold for N200,000. A cup of Garri might be sold for N500. Insecurity will rise as more people will be forced into desperate and criminal means to survive. This is the plain truth.

The government knows why naira has no value but because they are benefiting from the existing structure, they are unwilling to change it.

They should stop selling our crude oil in dollars. They should sell in naira. This alone will revive the naira. And I believe in less than 6 months, naira to dollar exchange will not be more than N200 to a dollar.

To further strengthen the naira, we should have a state of emergency in setting up new industries. We need an industrial revolution, mechanised agricultural revolution and constant power. Corruption should be punished sincerely. The mindset of the masses must change. We should stop election rigging and thuggery for politicians. Whatever you are paid will only last for a few moment.

There are so many injustices you can't do anything about. Just like the injustice of openly rigged election or where the budget for transportation for President and Vice runs into several billions. The increment of the salary of the judiciary workers alone is gross injustice but the only difference is that it will not lead to inflation as they are relatively few, less than 0.5 % of the working class. So, it won't bring inflation.

Next election, we should have enough sense to elect responsible people into office. We should shun corruption and think about about our future. Now, we have entered one chance. Only God will save us from this wicked and unreasonable leaders.

These judges are same graduate like most of our civil servants... Civil servants with lots of qualities and skills in different fields such as certified engineers, seasoned administrator,luminary lawyers, competent medical doctors and so on, are being paid 30k minimum wage and our government find it hard to increase it to 100k... What a shame just because they're not in line in giving final judgement in who win or not, in electioneering matters. Nigeria when are we going to grow

They can’t and don’t understand. The matter is laughable talk about bad timing and terrible negotiations. Why not spread that increase over 5/10 years to curb inflation. All that money , all at once will create hyperinflation 🤦. How is this country credit rating still good ? Where is the money coming from ? IMF

Don't be deceived. Increasing workers salary "will lead to inflation", you campaign. But NASS looting and each of them taking home almost #40M per month ( aside looting in billions) doesn't cause inflation. So answer me, is the present inflation caused by the #30k per month MW? Again, don't be deceived. It's poor economic policies that gender inflation, paying workers a living wage does not.

And you think jumbo pay will reduce corruption? Same was said of police salary, as that reduced bribe taking act? Man is self sufficient and insatiable in want. That will never reduce the act of corruption. A man that is earning 1m and is not satisfied, will never be satisfied if he earns 100m. Take that to bank.

No one is disputing that..... would you rather they weren't paid well than the increment they got.....it's justified at least one of the major reasons for corruption is poor renumeration.....and govt has tried to improve their welfare which to me is highly welcomed......if 10 judges were susceptible before now at least that number could reduce to 6 with this gesture.
