Nigerians should help compel NACA and global funds to pay up the field work allowances for data collected Nationwide on non-communicable disease NCD).

Ever since the survey ends more than 8months ago, the money the workers spent from their pulse to get this work done, interviwers, Medical laboratory scientists, trackers, community guides etc. assiduously work for were not paid.

PETITION TO CALL UPON RELEVANT AUTHORITIES TO COMPEL GLOBAL FUND,NATIONAL
AGENCY FOR THE CONTROL OF AIDS(NACA) AND FEDERAL MINISTRY OF HEALTH TO START
IMMEDIATE AND COMPLETE PAYMENT OF FIELD WORKERS INVOLVED IN NATIONAL
STEPS SURVEY,2023

We,the Medical laboratory scientist and interviewers,representing the dedicated field workers
who tirelessly contributed to the success of the NCD NationalSTEPSSurvey2023,hereby
submittl this petition to address the issue of unpaid remunerations.
TheNCDNationalSTEPSSurvey2023wasacrucialendeavoraimedatgatheringessentialdata
tocombatnon-communicablediseases(NCDs)andimprovepublichealthoutcomes.Field
workersplayedanintegralroleinthisprocess,diligentlycollectingdata,conductinginterviews
andonthespotlaboratoryinvestigationsandensuringtheaccuracyandreliabilityofthesurvey
results.
Despiteouresteemedcontributions,manyfieldworkershaveyettoreceivethecompensation
theyrightfullydeservefortheirhardworkanddedication.Thissituationisnotonlyunfairbut
alsounacceptable,asitunderminestheeffortsofthosewhoworkedtirelesslytofulfilltheir
dutiesandresponsibilities.
Weurgetheresponsibleauthoritiestoprioritizetheresolutionofthisissueandensurethatall
fieldworkersinvolvedintheNCDNationalSTEPSSurvey2023receivetheirrightful
remunerationswithoutfurtherdelay.Theseindividualshavefulfilledtheirobligationswith
utmostprofessionalismandcommitment,anditisimperativethattheyaredulycompensated
fortheirefforts.
Failuretoaddressthismatterpromptlynotonlydamagesthemoraleandwell-beingofthe
affectedfieldworkersbutalsoreflectspoorlyontheintegrityandcredibilityofthesurvey
processasawhole.Itisessentialtoupholdtheprinciplesoffairness,transparency,and
accountabilityinallaspectsofsurveyimplementation,includingthepaymentofremunerations
tofieldworkers.
Therefore,wecallupontherelevantauthoritiestotakeimmediateactiontorectifythissituation
andensurethatalloutstandingremunerationsaredisbursedpromptlyandinaccordancewith
theagreedtermsandconditions.Thededicationandhardworkoffieldworkersshouldbe
recognizedandrewardedappropriately,astheyarethebackboneofsuccessfulsurvey
initiativesliketheNCDNationalSTEPSSurvey2023.

Just imagine NACA, GlobalFund with FMOH misappropriating funds meant for Non communicable disease funds.
These people laboured even spent their own personal money but you betrayed them by not paying after a year now.
Efcc and Icpc shd kindly investigate and ensure all these professionals receive their money
