Akpabio my man.

Always misfiring.... grin grin grin grin grin grin

But I'll forgive him, the man placed Akwa Ibom state on the map.
If you controlled the kind of money Akwa Ibom earned under his tenure, especially after the Onshore/Offshore dichotomy and the ceding of the oil wells thitherto in Cross River to Akwa Ibom, You'll put Akwa Ibom on the moon, not just the map.

Akpabio is as useless as P I'm psychology, what benefit is he to me. He is only useful to his family, cocubines. Not to Nigerians. I like how they schooled him like a child

Also call on NASS to enact law to stop extravagant spendings by Government, budget padding, over bloated expenses, doing irrelevant projects like the over bloated coastal road project, over bloated ₦29Billion renovation cost of the Presidency residents, over bloated Ministers, SSAs, SAs, SAs to SSAs and many more.

Only if NLC realised how many billions and human lifes were lost on that single day..?
If I have my way those that shut down that grid will rot in jail!
I called on NASS to enact law sparing critical assets from being tampered with during strikes!

One thing that disturbs me about comments on Nairaland is how people fail to address a point raised. Akpabio about sabotaging the nation's economy by switching off the national grid. Labour tactically digress in their response by whipping up sentiments about Nigerian workers and masses being impoverished bla bla bla. Is switching off the national grid not an economic crime and an economic sabotage? NLC is a creation of the law. So why can't NLC operate by the law? Labour strife is not peculiar to Nigeria. South Africa leads Nigeria in development, and it experiences more strikes than Nigeria, but no one will dare switch off a national grid or pit the entire country in darkness. No where in the world does it happen. The Labour Act clearly spells out essential services that MUST not embark on total strike, and the hospitals and electricity workers are part of these essential services. Call Akpabio what you will, but do not fail to address that the main point of the matter. NLC may do that to parry blame, but as an analyst and commentator, you should not. No one is against NLC going on strike, at least I am not, but let the strike be conducted in accordance with the law. If you continue to deploy thig-like tactics to conduct strikes and the government decides to deploy crude force to quell it, heavens will not fall. I tell you the truth, if Ajaero and come had been arrested for switching off the grid and put on jail by now, life would still go on and no one would lose sleep, ask those who experienced that during IBB. Kill the mosquito, but don't destroy your home in the course of that. Let this minimum wage come on, a lot of people with ability to buy things now may not be silent buy those same things tomorrow. And I must add that many happy with Ajaero or the we-want #100, 000 minimum wage will be out of jobs when it comes on because many businesses will rather downsize than same number of workers. Na that time eye go open. This is my first comment on Nairaland since 2012. I rest my case.

CJERRYEMILEX:
The political class are the real sabotage of this country

I don’t know if I should say that some of our leaders are been so insensitive to the plight of their people, if you check the politicians budgets they have increased it to 200%, some 300% and above of what it was because of the current situation, then you see this same people adding little to the workers and I ask are the workers lesser human beings than them and their families, is it not in the same economy that they are?

The allocation of the Governors have increased tremendously they have no reason not to pay the minimum wage, so NLC should insure that mechanism is put in place to make them pay simultaneously after it has been passed let it not be left for them to go and deliberate, every deliberation should be done now, after all there is nothing special between FG workers and their counterparts in the States and LG’s just privilege.
NLC also should be reasonable and realistic with their demands.

I don't understand what you mean by political reforms? Who vet and passed the National Budget? To know whether the expenses are bloated, please compare with UK expenses (check how much was used to renovate Downing Street, the Prime Minister House)?
