Your original argument was that the increase would curb corruption. You concede that an increase doesn't yet you continue to insist that it will. Why do you Nigerians argue like this abeg?

What we are saying is that 300% increment was too much in an inflationary country like ours. Come to think of it, is there any sector that is not susceptible to corruption in Nigeria? Civil service is a septic of corruption but they are the least paid in the system. Meaning the rich will continue being rich while the poor will continue to be poor.

Hardly will you see any political supporters think straight in this country, because their first thought is how to protect their master and not the system.
Because I know how someone will say paying more money to public or civil servants will curb corruption while time has taught us that men are like Oliver Twist, always ask for more and insatiable.

Every human being is a potential criminal due to our pure natural survival instinctual drive, however society has appropriate reward systems for proper behaviour.... efficient renumeration is ONE OF the reward system for impeding criminal corrupt behaviour in humans....pls take note @ bolded

How exactly does this reward system of yours work? Why, even after realizing the system is tremendously flawed like in the case of your senators and reps, continue to insist upon the application of the one of components? Isn't that tantamount to ignoring its contribution to the overall failure of the system, to begin with?

Don't be deceived. Increasing workers salary "will lead to inflation", you campaign. But NASS looting and each of them taking home almost #40M per month ( aside looting in billions) doesn't cause inflation. So answer me, is the present inflation caused by the #30k per month MW? Again, don't be deceived. It's poor economic policies that gender inflation, paying workers a living wage does not.

These people didn't start stealing today. They are not up to 0.2% of Nigeria population. Nothing wrong in Labour union demanding wage increase but not the kind of increase they are demanding. I suggest a minimum wage of N60,000 for a start. After a while, they can take it up. Not from N30,000 to N500,000.
