Not that I support creation of any state in present day Nigeria because I believe that there are lots of states that are not viable but arguing against creation of Orlu state because you don't want parts of Anambra carved out is you being disingenuous. The LGA s mentioned are a people with similar culture and dialect who have seen themselves as same people within the larger Igbo nation for centuries, and not as Anambra or Imo. They largely intermarry. Please don't bring disunity where there is none just because of an artificial boundary created by politicians and their
collaborators

There's been push for an Aba state even before the creation of Ebonyi State, which was done in deference to late Dr.Akanu Ibiam who asked for that as his last request.
It was also raised again during the Obasanjo administration.

Thing is that our current reps for Ngwa la Ukwa stock lack the political will to pursue it.
Aba has what it takes to be a state on it's own but hard truth is that the rest of Abia state would collapse without Aba,hence their kick against it.
