Congratulations to her. Although, the first thing I did after seeing the post was to search for her on researchgate and I must say she deserves the elevation based on her profile.



However, the question now is that would she had been elevated if she without being a first lady?

You clearly have no idea what you are talking about. First,anyone in academics knows it is standard practice to backdate professorial and associate professorial promotions. All a reasonable person needs to do is to look at her academic contributions. Check scopus and reseachgate, they are there for everyone to see and understand. 86 publications, over 200 thousand reads and 186 citation. This is more than enough to earn professorship anywhere in the world but your intelectual lazziness will not even allow you take a few minutes to find out before talking about what you know nothing about.

You are are always qick to project your twisted minds unto everything. No sense of objectivity whatsoever. Just because if you were in her position, you will influence things and try to earn what you dont deserve doesnt mean everyone does.

I am a doctor in academics and I know what it means to achieve those numbers. it is sheer hardwork!She has been an academic all her life and now she is firstlady but you want to use her being firstlady to discredit her academic work? what sort of people are you guys? Come to think that you guys shout day and night baout your leaders when you aren't any better? what a shame indeed.

The best professor in your entire region is not fit enough to lace the shoes of the worst Prof. from southwest. You pigs always like to put your frustrations and hatred on everything. This is a woman that had been a lecturer in the University that ranked the first in Nigeria for Postgraduate studies and Researches even before her husband became a governor, yet you wrote those rubbish just because she got her well deserved promotion. Why are you people so barbaric? Go and check, the few reputable professors from your region got their PhD from southwest universities.

The truth is that the most difficult and time consuming part of academics is the Ph.D because its' research & attendance based.

You need to be a brilliant person to earn a Ph.D.

Attaining Professorship is based on several considerations including politics !

A body of Professors in your field and the school assess the students academic contribution, your membership of relevant academic association, the number of Ph.D students you supervise, the feedback from your supervisor and most importantly how well you "manage relationship" with the awarding institutions (Politics).

For those who commented above it is as a result of politics, yes it's a factor and also your competence and academic achievements too. " Every human is a political animal".

Pastor Enoch Adeboye - General Overseer of RCCG was also awarded Professorship in UNILAG based on his contribution to both academic work and the society.
