Well, the South Africans have a very potent league, very beautiful to watch by African standard. They also have a team in Sundowns that is among the top 5 on the continent, but the ours rarely make it past the group stages of all African competitions, even our league is an eyesore.
Thank you for the good response.

Truth be told , the moment I saw the starting eleven I knew something wasn't right. How will Ihenacho,Bashiru and Onauchu be starting when this isn't a friendly match? How?!! Someone needs to tell me Finidi knows what he is doing as a coach because I'm not sure o

This is not why. Our coaching and set-up just isn’t up to standard. We aren’t calling up the right profile of players and our play isn’t coherent.

Argentina won the WC in 2022 with mostly foreigners even through the Argentinian league is a good league

so when should we judge him?
You think this is a friendly match or what?
No excuse for failing!!
judge him the way you judged Tinubu. Tinubu has done worst and he finished one year, now going to 2nd year. 😔

I don't know how you people watch or judge football. This is his first game and these players only trained together yesterday. Even you don't like Finidi, you should not judge him with his first game. The way Una dey take dey serious for just soccer, if una put that effort for politics, Tinubu should have stepped down by now.
Let's even forget about the scoreline for now.
Which antecedent did Finidi have to have been appointed SE coach?
Samson Siasia at least coached u21 and Olympics team before his appointment then
Sunday Oliseh had coached a team in Belgium or Holland taking them from the second division to the first.
Stephen Keshi had coached abroad.
What criteria did they use to appoint Finidi,Enyimba?
Then look at his lineup today,Onuachu starting the attack.
Iheanacho that hasn't played for Leicester for donkey months.
You are the one that is being myopic!

The Portuguese coach really tried at AFCON, but Nigerians almost removed his head. Aside Siasia and Stephen Keshi of blessed memories, no other home based coaches are worth mentioning, let alone be spare heading the team to World Cup qualifies.

Most coaches aside the passion and talent for coaching do attend some courses as football manager. If you notice, must professional coaches have an assistant who is well trained to read and predict games. An example is Ancelotti's son, he has been at the forefront of most changes this season for Madrid. When Madrid was losing, he approached Ancelotti and he told him we need a striker, Ancelotti said go ahead, and he immediately called for Joselu from the side lines. Joselu came in and Madrid won.

Just because Finidi is an ex player doesn't mean he can lead the team at this critical time. What experience does he even have to lead a World Cup qualifying matcheshuh

He is not even qualified to be an assistant coach. African football is quite tough. Its more of stamina and mentality than skill. If a coach can incorporate both, he will win most African teams.

Trying to play an all out forward/ possession game with the weakest most sluggish, egotistic and laziest midfielders and you expect to win a game. Jokersh
