I have often wonder why south east have only 5 states as compared to other region that have 6 states each and north west having 7.

Does anyone have a reasonable explanation to this?

Military dictator Sani Abacha merely flinged what should have been the 6th state of the SE to his NW region for a 7th state in the NW.

The 5 states should be compressed into 2 (max) as they are scattered all over other regions thereby straining the scarce infractstructure of their host regions.

The money saved thereby should be spread across their host regions.

Calabar was never capital of Nigeria! When Nigeria was formed in 1914, Lagos was the capital ftom inception.

Provide a credible source to show that calabar was capital!

The territory, Nigeria, officially became a country in 1914. So, its erroneous to regard Calabar as the first capital of Nigeria.
