I'm really in a difficult phase right now.
There is been a bit of gig scarcity since last month and bills are pilling up. Not to even talking about client delays in reviewing and approving gigs. The financial stress and mental stress is really telling down on me. I’m a fictional ghost writer in my twenties and it has never been this tough for me.

Clients are just extra slow in reading and after approval, there is another two weeks of wait. I’m scared because there isn’t one naira to my name at the moment.

Not to even talk about fraudulent outsourcers who I’ve worked for and they just ghosted. The future is almost looking bleak at the moment.

You should never have relied on a single source of income.
I learned that in my early teens.

Try multiple freelance sites/get more clients. If you have 3 clients at a time it's highly unlikely they'll all delay your payment at the same time

You shouldn't just be "thinking of"; you should already have started trying to look for other/extra options.

With the AI threat, you can't rely solely on these gigs in my opinion.
